Crooked I is simply put as the best MC to never do it. He has remained an underground rapper by choice, he says several times to reporters and people that are writing his reviews that he does not want to get caught on to all the mainstream artist problems. He believes as soon as you become famous you will be torn down piece by piece by the Music Industry. Coming from Long Beach he has earned his way up the charts of top rappers, now he is considered to be one of the best rappers in the west coast. He recently set a record in the Guinness Book of World Records, for most freestyle’s in a year. He made 54 freestyles in a year, he did one each week and then added 2 bonus ones to finish it off and set the record. He is known for his metaphors and punch lines in his raps, his songs are deep and always have a great meaning. Crooked I is in a rap group named Slaughterhouse, which consists of the best rappers in the game today in my opinion. They have recently talked with Eminem and are looking into signing with Shady Records. If this would happen it could possibly put Eminem and Shady Records on top of the music industry in sales and popularity. Crooked I really isn’t the type of guy that drops albums annually, he makes singles and freestyles. His album Hood Star was his only album that came out publicly and the songs in there are meant to show and explain how he is the hardest and the best in the west coast. There are many rappers that try to hate on Crooked I’s freestyling ways, by saying that he can’t make his own beats and he raps about that a lot in his songs. Overall Crooked I is one of the best rappers ever and is my favorite without a doubt.
