The type of music that Eminem sings is rap. He has been singing rap and his songs since the 90’s. The feelings and emotions that come from Eminem’s albums are very sad/inspirational/ and motivating songs within his album. He sings his autobiography in his songs which makes him a very unique singer. A lot of singers will sing about their lives, but only Eminem sings with the great amount of emotion that he does. The emotions he incorporates in his songs are all from his life experiences, which he explains in most of them to be rough and struggling. Eminem’s songs compared to other artists such as Lil Wayne, or Tha Joker for the same genre of rap, is very different and doesn’t have the same type of emotion as Eminem’s. A song that is particularly memorable or inspirational to me is from one of his most recent albums. The song is “Not Afraid”. The reason for this song is mainly because it show that there is not too much that you are afraid of, and that you can get through anything that may prove to be difficult in your life. Most of his songs fell like that to me and show a great amount of understand in how the lyrics are played out in a song which makes it easy for it to make it relate to your life story. A lot of critics now say that his newer albums were not as epic as his older ones. The reason for this is the time difference between the new generation of kids and the demands for a more hip hop/rap than just rap alone. His music has changed a lot since his older albums as stated by many critics, which changes how people react with them as well. I do agree critics in the changing of his music. I still do believe that his is a very good and talented artist, and that he loves what he does. Music is worth our time and money because it gives us emotion to relate to ourselves in whatever situation that we bring up. Songs and music are easy to relate to because artists make the songs to be like that, to get the listeners hooked into listening to them.
