Radio is an inspirational film about a developmentally challenged kid who loves sports and just wants to fit it. Coach Jones (played by Ed Harris) of the football team takes Radio (played by Cuba Gooding Jr.) under his wing and tries to incorporate him in the team by making him the manager. As the manager Radio is as a happy as he can be, but the players think it’s funny to pick on him. Throughout the movie he goes through many hard times with getting bullied and losing his mom. With this the coach and Radio become very close and he becomes a part of their family. The players also begin to come around and accept him for who he is and not being normal like the rest of them. In the movie Radio Cuba Gooding Jr. does a great job with the emotional aspect of the film and gets you to feel the motions as well. Ed Harris does a great job playing the coach because he shows how everyone should be treated and he stands up for radio more than his own players. The football team also does a very good job at being the bullies because it is like any high school kid they just want to be cool and fit in even if it means picking on or bullying others. Radio is a very motivational character because even when he is getting bullied around he finds a way to be happy and he is always finding a way to smile. Throughout the film you see everyone changing for the better and the main theme of the movie that someone should take away is that even though someone is different they are not under you, they are still people just like the rest of us. Some people say the movie has too many sad emotional parts for an inspirational movie but I believe that it was a good thing because you really get the effect of the film. My opinion is that the movie is a perfect film and 5 stars in my eyes. It is well worth the 5 bucks to pick up this movie and watch it.

Takers (2010) rotates around a notorious group of criminals (Idris Elba, Paul Walker, T.I., Chris Brown, Hayden Christensen and Michael Ealy) who continue to puzzle the police by pulling off perfectly planned bank robberies. The group of friends say tight and never leave evidence behind while managing to stay laying low in between heists. Their last mission which the plot revolves around is to strike an armored car carrying $20 million. The cast is flawless that’s the main reason I watched it. The only character that annoyed me was T.I. ‘s character he seemed like he belonged in a different movie his character just didn’t quite set. He always spoke the same exact way he never made you wonder what was going to happen, because you could just guess by his gesture and body language. I think they should of used a different actor for his role. Chris Brown did a great job for his part; His thrilling chase scene resembled a Jackie Chan type of action. An obvious theme for this movie is; when a job sounds too good to be, it is that's just the way of the world. The audience is supposed to take away the life lesson that too much dirty money at hand will almost never end with a happy ending. I agree with most critics that this movie Takers is a cliché because it’s like every other action movie there isn’t anything special about it. Like I said before I only watched it because of the actors. The zooming in and out and shaking of the camera gets to be irritating, but the fantastic chases scenes make up for it. Like most critics have claimed I agree “The film borrows from dozens of classic heist pictures, but adds very little fresh, original or exciting to the mix”. Don’t let it steal your valuable money instead wait for it to come on TV.

Saving Private Ryan is debatably the most powerful and devastating war movie of all time. Based on a true story, the film begins in Normandy on Omaha Beach during World War II. Captain John Miller (Tom Hank’s character) and his men land on Omaha Beach and immediately forced into a combat zone. U.S. soldiers were being slaughtered, while others were running towards the shelter of a dune. After a horrific battle, the United States eventually sends torpedoes to eliminate all remaining German defenders. Saving Private Ryan does a tremendous job of presenting the D-Day invasion of Normandy through a soldier’s view. Following the horrendous fight, we learn that two of the four Ryan brothers died in this action, while one perished elsewhere. The Ryan mother was to receive all three telegrams on the same day. The film is about Captain Miller and his team finding and rescuing the fourth Ryan brother, Private James Ryan (Matt Damon), to return home to his mother. The rescuing team is made up of Captain Miller and eight elite, well-trained soldiers. Everyone knows their mission is a public relations exercise, and the question of why Ryan's life is more important than theirs is voiced often, but never quite answered. Hank gives an astounding performance that intrigues the audience both mentally and emotionally. There is no one hero throughout the movie, yet the men come together as a band of brothers. This film is torn from the stereotypical war movie by not falling into the category of heroic tales of glory or different trends such as glamorizing or condemning the war. Saving Private Ryan veers away from the both of these downfalls. Instead of being a heroic tale of glory it is a tale of human courage and sacrifice. The men do not attempt superhuman feats, but show there courage and sacrifice in the line of duty. This man versus war movie is one of the most intense and brutally harsh reality of a D-day remake in history and I personally recommend it, it’s a must see!

Rudy is a fictional movie set in the 1960, about a young man with ambition and determination to accomplish his goal as a Notre Dame Football player. The young student’s name is Rudy Ruettiger, at the start of the film, Rudy is seen with his friends at a young age playing football in mid-winter, the scene then moves on to Rudy’s last high school year and last football practice, in which he is respected and recognized by his peers, and later on in class, a teacher informs the whole classroom about a college visit to Notre Dame, and that caught Rudy’s attention, and thought about going. When the students were being loaded onto the bus, Rudy steps up and the teacher tells Rudy that he can’t go, he tells him that Notre Dame is a serious school and he has no chance a getting in with the grades that Rudy has, and with that scene, the film then begins. For the next 4-5 years, in the film, Rudy is stuck at a job with his dad and his brother, working at a power plant. Soul Surfer is an inspiring true story of teen surfer Bethany Hamilton, who lost her arm in a shark attack and courageously overcame all odds to become a champion again, even though she lost her arm, she didn’t give up on her dream instead she went after it. The starring actresses are Dennis Quaid, Anna Sophia Robb, Helen Hunt, Lorraine Nicholson, and Carrie Underwood I think that they all had a big role and they did a wonderful job being there for Bethany. Carrie underwood helped Bethany see things in a different light when they went over to Thailand Bethany came to her senses that what she is going through is not the worst thing that can happen. She decided to help the young kids in Thailand after the devastating 2004 tsunami in the Pacific Ocean. After the shark attack, Bethany’s parents didn’t want her to go back to suffering but after they saw that she was really determined to go back, they became very supportive of her decision. In fact at some point in the movie Bethany wanted to quit and never surf again but her parents didn’t let that happen instead they decided to put a lot time into training her again and they made her want to keep her dreams alive. We often wonder why bad things happen to us and how do we deal with it; this movie answers these questions. Bethany Hamilton was bitten by a tiger shark and she lost her arm but she didn’t give up on her dreams and everything else that she believed in. she took her time to deal with her loss and she got right back up. Soul surfer is an inspiring/ encouraging movie it teaches us life’s important lessons. After watching Soul Surfer, the audience will learn to look at life through other people’s perspective. We might be going through some difficult times but we also have to keep in mind that there are others that have it worse than we do. “It was an amazing movie. I love the story and the movie is so well done. It honestly made me cry. It’s hard for me to cry but this movie was definitely an exception”. I definitely agree with this response because I enjoyed this movie, I thought that everything was put together well. There is nothing that I would change about it because it really touched me. I would definitely recommend Soul Surfer because it’s an inspiring movie and will touch the hearts of everyone. After you watch this movie, I promise you that you will look at your life differently and most importantly, you will appreciate it.

The movie Taken is a very character driven movie about a dad finding his daughter. She and her friend were scouted out in Europe shortly after arriving by men seeking women to traffic. The man followed them to the place they were staying by grabbing a taxi with them and asked if they would like to go out later. The girl who went had to call her dad multiple times to make sure she was okay, and later when she called, the girls had started to be taken. The dad goes looking for her in Europe knowing the slim chances of finding her. He encounters lots of bad people and you soon find out how this dad will do anything to find his daughter and bring her home. Liam Neeson is who plays the dad in this movie. He is the main character the movie focuses on. His performance in this movie is unbelievable. I think he was the perfect actor for this part and movie, because his voice and heart really left a lasting impression for me. All of Liam’s motivation in the movie was towards his daughter. He loved her and tried to be in her life and protect her as much as possible like a good dad. The movie shows all his motivation going towards finding his daughter in Europe and bringing her home. He knew with his knowledge and training from his past job as a CIA agent he could find his daughter the best. The theme of the movie is about a dad who loves his daughter and just wants to bring her home. He goes through many obstacles to find her in Europe just because he wants his daughter back. I agree with the critics about how Liam’s character is over skilled to be realistic. They talk about how he was a one man team with skills of many people. This is true but does it really matter if his skills are realistic? He was a kick butt dad saving his daughter. It made the movie very interesting and action filled. This movie is worth the money and time to watch, I could watch it like 100 times.

One character driven film that I liked and saw is Law Abiding Citizen. This movie is about how one man had to witness his own families’ deaths because of a home invasion, and how he changed from a doting father into a murderer himself, killing people while he is in jail. Everybody else in the movie didn’t know how he was doing all of this while in prison and what his motives were. But at the end his own murdering ways killed himself. I like the actors and actresses in this movie, they all fit in with the story and they acted like a real life scenario. Each one of them has a good role play in the movie. Clyde Shelton is the main character of Law Abiding Citizen and his motivations were bad. He was motivated to change how the way the Justice System in the country of United States runs, causing him to become a murderer. The theme of this story is that you can’t take things too far. Clyde was becoming something that wasn’t himself and it ended with him killing himself. That’s something that really got to me from this movie. I have read a couple of reviews, ratings, and credits about Law Abiding Citizen. There are a lot of them that says the movie is good and bad. One critic says “The script does create sufficient tension and intrigue to hook viewers along with a photogenic, hardworking cast”. From a Hollywood reporter named Kirk Honeycutt, who I agree with. This movie has lots of tensions and the actors and actresses were great there is a certain feeling you will get at the end. In my own opinion I say it is worth the money and time to watch and see this movie.

One ring to rule them all. One find to find them. One ring to bring them all. And in the darkness bind them. That’s right, it is The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. This film follows the path of a young hobbit named Frodo (played by Elijah Wood) and his companions on their way to mount doom to destroy The Ring. Along their path they face inevitable opposition from a reincarnated Lord Sauron who wants his ring of power back and kill those who wish to take it or destroy it. A greater threat to their success however, is their own greed and pride, which could prove to be the greatest downfall possible. Frodo is joined by Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), Legolas (Orlando Bloom), Gandalf (Ian McKellen), Gimli (John Rhys-Davies), Samwise (Sean Astin), Merry (Dominic Monaghan), Pippin (Billy Boyd), and Boromir (Sean Bean) who vow to help Frodo destroy the ring and maintain peace in their lives. Every single actor and actress in this movie did an extraordinary job and made the film truly revolutionary, bringing the novel to life vividly on the big-screen. The themes of this movie demonstrate perfect but highly dangerous love between Aragorn and Arwen (Liv Tyler), the dangers of greed and corruption when Boromir tried to take the ring from Frodo (the designated bearer) and use the ring of power for his own people, the wearing of everlasting conflict with the constant war raging on in Middle Earth, and the importance of friendship and fellowship throughout the whole movie and entire trilogy. At this point in time, newer and better things have come along, so every single critic has taken a shot at Peter Jackson’s work on The Lord of the Rings, especially the first in the trilogy just to try and get their name in the business, but the fact remains that every critic agreed to the film being incredible and ahead of its time when it initially hit theatres. I dearly love this movie along with its two sequels, and I would definitely recommend seeing them all in order or even out of order because it doesn’t hinder the brilliance of each! J.R.R. Tolkien wrote amazing books, and Peter Jackson made these words float off the page and into the hearts of fanatics everywhere, making this movie a must-see.

Saving Private Ryan, made in 1998 was a type of movie that depicted a close up of how World War II was in a more scenic view. The plot of the movie is where Pvt. James Francis Ryan (Matt Damon) became separated from the group with various others. A group of soldiers are summoned during the middle of battle to engage in a search mission to rescue Pvt. Ryan. The reason is because Pvt. Ryan’s 3 other older brothers were killed in action in their line of duty, leaving only Pvt. Ryan the last of the siblings. To ease the pain and suffering of the mother of the Ryan’s, Captain John H. Miller (Tom Hanks) is to organize a search and rescue team, find Pvt. James Ryan, and return him back to HQ for discharge, to bring him home. Captain John H. Miller played by Tom Hanks the main character, has outdone himself in this film, as to many others. Performing as a Captain he had to bring out certain characteristics like honor, diligence, determination, and courage. Mostly all these and more were expressed throughout the movie, but Tom Hanks was the one who brought out the most of these traits. Another character I admire is Pvt. Andrew Jackson (Barry Pepper) in the movie he played as a sniper. His is and interesting character, because before he would look through the scope to make his shot he either says a Hail Mary or a prayer for god to watch over him. He was also a very content character throughout the movie, never letting anything bother him and giving sympathy and wisdom towards the other characters in the film. Some of the themes of the movie would be courage, honor, and guilt. Courage because all these soldiers knew what they were up against going on a search mission for one man yet they all stuck together to rescue him (Ryan). Honor because all the soldiers remained with one another, treated each other as they were brothers serving in a war with one another. Another theme would be guilt because at the end of the film we see Pvt. James Ryan standing at the grave of Cpt. John Miller wondering if he dying to save his life was really worth it. Most of the soldiers died in order to rescue one man, him. So I say yes, it is worth time and money to put into it. It’s a movie for anyone and can be viewed at anytime.

The Town is about four guys who have been friends their whole lives who rob banks together. The main character in the story, Doug MacRay, has had enough of the business and he wants out. In one of the bank robberies, they decide to take the manager of a bank hostage, Claire Keesey, and release her without harm. Claire has no idea that Doug was the one who took her hostage. Throughout the movie Doug and Claire move closer and closer together and end up falling in love. When all of this is happening FBI agent, Adam Frawley, is realizing what is going on and he plans to destroy all of their lives. He is willing to do whatever it takes and is willing to tell Claire the truth about Doug and their relationship. Doug is a very independent character. He is willing to do anything for the happiness of Claire even if it means robbing Fenway Park home of the Redsoxs. Claire in the beginning of the movie starts out very scared and being very protective of herself. Towards the end of the movie Claire learns to open herself to Doug. The Town is a movie all about suspense. Without these characters there wouldn’t be a twist in the movie with the mix up of Doug and Claire’s relationship. The audience is supposed to be on their toes the whole movie, wondering if anything is going to happen, if anyone is going to die or be the hero. The critics give this movie 7.6 stars out of 10.I personally love the movie and could say that it is my favorite. Everything about the movie is really good. The plot of the movie tells a good story and there is so much suspense you just have to finish it.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day in my opinion, is a great story that has many characters being driven as the main focus. I will get to this later however, a little more on the story. John Conner is the leader of a Human Resistance against the machines, powered by Skynet and an advanced AI system. (Artificial Intelligence) John is sworn to rise up and fight against the machines, and save man-kind, but the machines send terminators to kill and stop John from becoming this leader. The machines send back a terminator only called the “T-1000;” a machine that is made out of a new metal that is both a solid and a liquid; played by Robert Patrick. In retaliation, the resistance, including John, sends a model of a terminator back to the past as well. This model is the “T-800;” played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is an older model that the resistance captured, and re-programs to protect Conner instead of destroying him. In the movie, you watch as Conner, only a young teen in the film, grow to be a strong independent young man, and you watch the T-800 become not just a machine, yet, more of a father figure in the young man’s life. Linda Hamilton plays the role of John’s mother Sarah Conner, who is stuck in a mental hospital because she talks about the nuclear holocaust that the machines will cause; and the stories of terminators coming from the future to kill her and her son. Sarah is seen to become a better character as well. She goes on a hunt for Skynet’s creator, to kill him and possibly stop the inevitable, however; in the last moments of the chance to kill this man, she breaks out in tears because she notices John there to comfort and stop her. All-in-all, this is a great movie that anyone would enjoy. Robert Ebert, gave it a 3 ½ stars out of 4 stars in his own review of the movie. I would highly recommend a rent or buy of this movie.

Cast Away is about a man, played by Tom Hanks, who gets stranded on an Island after his plane crashed into the Pacific Ocean. While on the island he must do what he can in order to survive with nothing but the island and himself. Tom Hanks is the star in this film, with very few lines. There are a few supporting actors in the beginning and end of the film, but two thirds of the movie is Tom Hanks. He doesn’t say much on the island, he doesn’t need to in order to act out what he is thinking and feeling. While on the island, he creates a new best friend, Wilson, made out of a volley ball. He talks to his friend as if it is real and you can see what isolation is doing to him. Tom Hanks plays Chuck in the film. Chuck first gathers as much necessities as he can once he realizes he’s alone. He also learns how to survive on his own. He builds a fire, shelter, and a raft. Over time, he learns how to hunt fish and gather food to eat. He does these tasks in order to survive as long as he can on the island. Some themes that the audience could take away from the film are, don’t give up, finding hope, or starting a new life. These themes are shown throughout the movie while Chuck struggles to survive. He starts his own life on this island and becomes a completely different person while attempting to stay alive. In a movie review from Robert Ebert, he says “Tom Hanks does a superb job of carrying Cast Away all by himself for about two-thirds of its running time.” I agree with this because the majority of the film was just Tom Hanks by himself without much dialogue. He needed to be a successful actor in order to carry out this role. Overall, I really like this movie and think Tom Hanks does a great job at portraying a cast away on a lone island. It is worth your time and money to see this film if you haven’t already.

One of my favorite character-driven movies and which is still popular today is the Dark Knight. The story starts off in a fictional place called Gotham City, and begins with The Joker, The Dark Knights nemesis, who is in the act of robbing a bank. The rest of the movie is basically a cat and mouse game where The Dark Knight searches for The Joker throughout the film using his intellectual mind and various machines and technologies to accomplish so. The main actors in the film include Christian Bale, The Dark Knight, and Heath Ledger, The Joker. The Dark knight is portrayed as a hero of Gotham City and The Joker is of course plays the villain character throughout the film. The Dark Knights main motivation comes from him wanting to use his mind, money, and power to help others which gave him the “hero” title. The Joker’s goal is to constantly taunt The Dark Knight and remain in hiding because he receives a sense of “satisfaction” out of doing so, along with robbing a few banks now and again. The theme of the story is to never give up on what your mind is already set to, which is what the audience is supposed to get out of this film because constantly there are people throughout the world with many ambitions and goals they strive for which gives this movie the character-driven title. Critics say this movie is a “canvas for a broader scope of human emotion”, this quote is very significant because it explains how the movie has a very strong theme behind it and also makes it clear that this is a character-driven film. Overall I would give this movie and five out of five stars and would recommend buying it because it is a film that will forever change the movie world, with its intense action scenes, strong characters, and a strong theme that is portrayed throughout the film.

I am Legend is a very Motivating movie that gives you tingles every time you watch it. This movie takes place in the future modern world and everyone has perished because of a plague, except for one. The person left behind is Robert Neville played by Will Smith and takes place in New York City. He struggles for a long time trying to find a cure to a sickness that infects you from the “perished people” that are already infected. The main Actors and Actresses are Robert Neville (Will Smith), Marley Neville (Willow Smith), and Salli Richardson (Zoe Neville). This is the family in the film, also the main characters that we see throughout the entire movie. Their performances were very well played out, and Will Smith is my favorite current actor at the moment. He has a really good ability to be serious and also funny when the time is needed, which was great for this movie. The Characters in this film all had a common goal before they got infected, which was to stay alive, and strive in their town. Some of their motivations were to be safe and help find a cure, which was solely left up to Robert Neville (Will Smith). The overall theme of this movie that I thought would apply would be teamwork. You can tell that Robert Neville (Will Smith) needed help. In the beginning with his family he had to protect them and work together to keep them safe. Once he knew that they were safe he could go on his quest to fight off the “zombies” and find a cure. Without the cure he could not help his family, and I’ll leave the rest for you to find out. I Agree with the critics because some said they wanted more from this particular director and I knew what he meant. There was really no background information besides him waking up and all of a sudden New York City was just gone and taken over. Others said it should be a three hour thriller sci-fi film, but packed into 1.5 hours was just not enough. Although, I disagreed with other sites because they were just bashing it for its special effects and not giving it a chance for a hard role to fill in that area with life-like beings. This film is totally worth a watch. It has action, drama, sci-fi, and thriller all combined, which is likeable to almost all tastes in Movies. This will make you think about what life will really be like in the future, or could this even happen, you’ll have to find out.

The Iron lady is an intimate portrait of Margaret Thatcher, the first female Prime Minister of the UK, she won three successive General Elections and she served as British Prime Minister for more than eleven years (1979-90), a record unmatched in the twentieth century.
During her service, she improved every aspect of the British politics, reforming outdated institutions, reinvigorating the economy and the nation’s foreign policy.
Margaret Thatcher was one of the world's most influential and respected political leaders, a controversial, dynamic and plain-spoken leader. Critics and supporters alike recognize the Thatcher premiership as a period of fundamental importance in British history.
If the movie would tell the story about Margaret’s youth, the political rise, the government and the subsequent decline, it would probably become a tedious job.
But they did different, They had the idea of starting from today, to represent an elderly woman, and only affected by the ghosts of the past that haunt her, was a mistake. The dramatic construction of the story then follows the unconscious mental processes and oppressive character, rather than put on stage the actions following the chronology of events: the script by Abi Morgan - screenwriter of "Shame" - is built with intelligence and personality paints a complex and ambiguous as that of Thatcher with adequate sensitivity.
Obviously the score narrative is facilitated by the great performances of Meryl Streep, an actress who never exceeds in unnecessary emphasis, indeed, though he works in subtraction to excel both in the emotional force that mimics the role. The biggest flaw of "The Iron Lady" is, however, the staging, which does not have a precise ordered line, but is fascinated by too many visual enchantments. Phyllida Lloyd changes register each time that the film moves up or down, building scenes also effective when taken alone but they do not build a film coherent and compact. The unpleasant impression is like they put together a puzzle without knowing what you wanted to find once stuck the tiles.

The movie hunger games are about these twelve districts that must pick two people, one boy and one girl from the district. The movie focuses on district twelve, where there was a young girl who was picked but the girls older sister decided that she is too young to be involved so she volunteers herself instead. The girl and the young man from district twelve are then brought to the capital where they are supposed to meet people that could possibly be there sponsors. Not much of a sociable person the girl must do other things to impress the sponsors. Both the boy and girl learn many secrets about the games from their mentor, who is a previous hunger games player. Jennifer Lawrence who plays Sixteen year old Katniss Everdeen had a very good performance as she plays the part for the contender of the hunger games. She shows great emotion, she plays the part and was a great contribution to the movie. The other boy from district twelve was played by Josh Hutcherson, who was also a good actor for the part but did show as much emotion and didn’t get into character as much as his co-actor katniss everdeen. Katniss was a caring person when it came to family, when she volunteered for her sister. But strong hearted and strong willed when it comes to the hunger games. She is a very good hunter with a bow and arrow but doesn’t feel the need to kill. You should take from this movie that winning isn’t everything even though the guy who had trained his whole life for these games and just about killed everyone in the games he still lost because his bad choices throughout the movie. “A faithful adap, a grown-up teen movie and flaming good entertainment. The big test for the franchise lies ahead with the uneven second and third ...” said by "Movie ShowTime’s." - Google Search. Web. 23 Apr. 2012. . I agree with the critics that it’s a good movie for teens and that it’s the best sci-fi movie that has been released in years. But I don’t understand why they say the real test is when they come out with second and third because the first one is always the best so I believe they should leave it just as is. In my opinion I would recommend this movie if your into action and sci-fi, overall a great movie.

Blood Diamond is a gritty action drama that depicts the situations within West Africa where civil wars are ravaging the land and diamond trades that fuel the conflicts. The plot focuses on the life of Solomon Vandy (Dijimon Hounsou), a fisherman from a rural Sierra Leone village crossing path with the mercenary/smuggler named Danny Archer (Leonardo DiCaprio). After losing his son to the rebels, Solomon stumbled onto a rare pink diamond which caught the attention of Archer. This event leads the two on a journey to find Solomon’s son, but also to uncover the pink diamond which Archer is after. While Hounsou and DiCaprio role as their character is played out perfectly, Maddy Bowen played by Jenifer Connelly is somewhat questionable. She seems disillusioned by what is going on around her and tries to make a difference by being a journalist. Her appearance in the movie is not necessary due to the fact that she does not alter the story line much, even though she is Archer’s love interests. The character that is most dynamic is Danny Archer; he was born and lived a life of violence where killing for money is the only thing he knows. After seeing Solomon and his son, Archer seems to change his views on life and any more details would ruin this experience for those who have never seen this movie. During the course of the movie, the question “Will God ever forgive us for what we’ve done to each other?” is repeated many times. This is the central theme of the movie, and it is on that Archer will find out for himself. According to Roger Ebert, Leonardo DiCaprio played an extraordinary role as Danny Archer, capturing his personalities and expressions. I could not have agreed more with Ebert, DiCaprio did so well that every time I see him on TV, I would automatically see Danny Archer. Overall, this is a movie that you must see, it is an aspiring story with memorable characters; it is a must see.

I have always enjoyed the movies that Justin Lin the director creates from Fast Five. The ones in particular are the entire fast in the furious movies. The reason I like his movies so much is because he knows how to make sequels. I always find myself at the end of the movie sequels and saying “well, I will never do that again”. But this is the one of few movies I didn’t do that with. I love action movies but unlike Fast Five, most of the are just too much talking most of the time. I have to say this is the most action packed movie out there today. Justin Lin’s movies just keep getting better and better. I do have a few dislikes in particular about Fast Five, there wasn’t enough racing I think there were like two maybe about racing. The other dislike is that it was very unrealistic. Getting the vault out of the police station and in the end they all join forces with the cops. I mean come on this does not happen in this world. And the other part where it was very unrealistic was when they were getting them off the train.. Everything would break on the car if it ever did anything like that. But I kind of see why he would make it very intense and action packed because a lot of people have never been to the setting, where the story takes place.

A Walk to Remember is a sincere love story that will capture your heart. The romance in the movie is between two 18 year old high school students, Jaime is quiet, shy, and doesn’t believe that anyone wants to be her friend, played by Mandy Moore. This young lady that puts all her time into school and her faith, Jaime was shockingly surprised when Landon one of the more popular boys was put into her drama class, played by Shane West. Landon was put into drama class to meet new people according to the high school, he was getting himself into trouble with the popular crowed that he spent time with. Landon was involved in a dare that left he’s friend paralyzed, also he was part of the harassment that Jaime got every day in school for the way she dressed and acted. When Jaime and Landon were forced to spend time together in drama club, Landon found out a little bit about himself that he might not have known before. The movie goes on to show the growing romance between Landon and Jaime and all the interesting challenges that they face, when Jaime drops a bombshell about something she keeps very secret it sets the movie for a curve. A Walk to Remember is a true love story, and shows what you will do for someone if you really love them. I agree with other reviews that the movie has it corny scenes, but the corniness evokes a lot of the emotions and feelings that you get from the movie. I disagree with some of the reviews that state the scene where Landon’s friend gets paralyzed should be taken out, because I believe that incident is what makes Landon change and become who he is around and with Jamie. A Walk to Remember starts out like a normal teenage life and high school, and spins into a remarkable love story; this movie is worth the time and effort.

The Blind Side is a story of a boy named Michael Oher who faces many obstacles in his life. Michael has to deal with being homeless, having a mother who is a drug addict, and not knowing his father. Michael Oher had hit rock bottom; taking food from the bleachers at school, sleeping in the gym, and walking the streets with only shorts and a t-shirt. It is at this point however, that one kind act could change his life forever. He was taken in by the Tuohy family who supplied him with all the necessary things to become successful in life. Leigh Anne Tuohy, the mother, helps Michael by getting him a tutor and helping him discover his natural born talent for football. The Tuohy family not only changed the life of Michael Oher but their lives were forever changed as well. In the film Leigh Anne Tuohy is played by Sandra Bullock. I felt her performance was very good. It was a hard role to play and she did it very well. You felt the emotional roller coaster she as a character had to go through. Tim McGraw played the role of Sean Tuohy, the father. His performance was also very well done. It was funny and entertaining to watch. Lily Collins played the role of Collins, the sister, in the film and did it very well. The characters of Michael and Collins had a good relationship due to good actors. Michael was played by Quinton Aaron, his performance was exceptional. Finally, one of my favorite characters was S.J. played by Jae Head. He is hilarious and his relationship with Michael is great. The characters in the film have a variety of different traits. Leigh Anne Tuohy is a strong, independent, motivated, and stubborn woman. She likes to be in control and does what she pleases. Michael is quiet and respectful young man who appears to be mad at no one even though he has experienced such tough times. The theme of the movie is no matter where you come from and how bad of circumstances you have, you can overcome it and follow your dreams. I definitely agree with the critics. They say this movie is phenomenal and some of the best of these actors careers and I couldn’t agree more. Overall, this movie is definitely worth your time and money. It is a great story and is told in a wonderful way.

From the man who directed Stand By Me and When Harry Met Sally, Rob Reiner returns with the 2010 movie Flipped, a charming film adaptation based on Wendelin Van Draanan’s novel Flipped. While the details of many movies that are adapted from books are unfortunately skewed, Flipped remains true to Van Draanan’s novel.
Flipped portrays the blossoming love story of two adorable 6th graders named Bryce Loski and Juli Baker. Though the novel is set in the early 2000’s, Reiner skillfully adjusts the setting of the movie to the innocent era of the early 1960’s. By doing so, Reiner enhances the story’s nostalgic atmosphere, portraying the characters in plaid button-up shirts, innocent flowing dresses and surrounded by antique cars as well as basket wielding bicycles. Juli Baker is an ambitious and self-motivated girl who is instantly captivated by her new neighbor Bryce Loski. While Juli is swept into love by Bryce’s dazzling eyes, Bryce sees an obnoxious stalking girl. Thus begins Bryce’s plan of “strategic avoidance” and Juli’s plan of winning over Bryce. As the setting solidifies to when the kids are in 6th grade, we see events that cause both Bryce and Juli to not only contemplate about their prior opinions regarding each other, but also their own families.
The roles of Juli Baker and Bryce Loski are perfectly portrayed by Madeline Carroll and Callan McAuliffe. Each of the actors are still in their early teenage years, thus contributing to the movie’s overall innocent atmosphere of when children first recognize love. Madeline Carroll’s character, Juli, is naturally confident, ambitious and introspective. One Juli’s most critical moments in the movie is when a beloved sycamore tree is cut down. Though she defiantly climbs the tree to prevent its death. Eventually, her father forces her off. This dramatically impacts her because being atop in the tree prompted her to analyze the components of her life. However she is now faced with trying to do so without the tree. Bryce, on the other hand, is perhaps the opposite of Juli. Bryce is easily influenced by the actions of others, especially his father. Bryce’s confused character and morals even leads Juli to label him as a coward. From the alternating perspectives of each character, it is obvious to see that the main theme of the movie is to not judge another person until actually attempting to understand that person. The movie implants this theme through the switching of narration between Bryce and Juli, as each character propels events in the plot with their own unique experience.
Overall, Flipped received positive reviews from critics. Flipped was praised for its use of alternating perspectives as well as the clever casting of characters. While some critics failed to sympathize with the story’s emotional content, I found that the movie accurately depicted what young love was really like. Flipped is, by far, one of the best movies I’ve seen. It is sweet and genuine beyond belief and is a movie that I can repeatedly watch and not get sick of. I believe that Flipped is a movie that anyone will enjoy because of its refreshing characters, plot line and emotional appeal. It is a movie definitely worth watching.

David Guetta who is known as the man who conquered pop music is one of the top Dj’s known to make the best beats ever. In one of David Guetta’s album Nothing But The Beat, the emotions that are evoked are excitement, thrilled, pumped, and care free. Then when you compare David Guetta’s song “Go Little Bad Girl” Rick Ross’s songs David Guetta’s songs wins hands down. The reason why I think that is because David Guetta has party/clubbing songs and his beats are so amazing that’s why most clubs would use his songs. He comes up with really sound catching beats that lures you in and makes you want to dance to it and also all his beats are original he makes his own beats. In his song “Little Bad Girl” a memorable lyric is “I just like to put my hands up in the air” because it reminds me of the good old days when I used to party all the time. According to Tom Ewing he says “David Guetta's success is based on a simple idea: combine the dominant European and American ideas of pop, and clean up worldwide. In practice, that means putting hip-hop and R&B vocals over hands-aloft club beats” and I totally agree with him 100% because even I like his songs and also now a days most songs are starting to have a DJ for their songs. It’s the new style of music how people use club beats and they sing over it to create an amazing sounding song. Then my overall opinion on David Guetta’s music is that his beats are amazing and spectacular, I would say it is worth the time and money to look in to David Guetta and his music because you could hit the jackpot and make crazy money.

An artist I have always loved is Taylor Swift. Taylor’s type of music is country and pop there can be a lot of emotions in her songs and toward the word and messages in Taylor’s songs because some people can relate to the meaning. For example Taylor writes a lot of her songs about relationships she has gone through. One of her songs that are memorable would be “Mine”. During this song Taylor talks about her relationship and explains the ups and downs. She also points out that even though there are bad memories you can always look back at the good ones and smile. Taylor is well worth our time and money. She has a wonderful sprit and is a hardworking 22 year old that cares for her fans and wants them to have to the best experiences while listening to her music. All of Taylors songs she’s written there has been a meaning too.
“The popular belief is that “Mean” is about music industry guru Bob Lefsetz. Problem is, even according to Bob, he does not fit the criteria Taylor lays out in her song. Bob really didn’t cross any lines “over and over”, he simply took the point after her bad performance on The Grammy’s with Stevie Nicks to say that now that we all knew Taylor Swift couldn’t sing, it was over for her”. (http://www.savingcountrymusic.com/a-critical-response-to-taylor-swifts-mean).
In this particular comment on how Taylor can’t sing and that it is over for her, is completely stupid. Just because a famous singer has a bad performance doesn’t mean that that person is bad at what they do, and Taylor Swift is not bad at what she does. I feel like Bob Lefsetz is jealous with her career. Maybe some singers have a better voice then Taylor but what the other singers don’t have are Taylor’s memories of what creates her songs. But also they don’t have her personality that makes Taylor, Taylor. And that’s something no one can have!
“And who is just plain creeped out seeing 20-year old Swift as a wife and a mom to two toddlers. This one’s going to take some wrangling”. That review was by Erika Brooks Adickman. (http://idolator.com/5610901/review-revue-critics-react-to-taylor-swifts-mine-music-video)
When I read this comment I was really angry, I felt that it was so stupid and annoying to hear people complain about being “creeped out”. It was just a song it’s not real life and even if Taylor wanted to get married have two kids right now I don’t think it’s any critics business. Taylor really created one of the best’s songs ever and I feel that people had nothing else to complain about so they made something up to say about Taylor’s song “mine”.

Response to Austin: Austin, I completely agree with what you’re saying. Blink 182 is overall a great band their success and fans prove that, also I agree with them being original they defiantly were the jumpstart to punk music. I also appreciate the hard work and love they put into their music. One more thing I agree with is the comparison to good charlotte their music is similar but they both came out in the same time era so of course they will be remotely similar. Blink 182 has some very deep lyrics that most people can relate to and when it’s combined to their hyperish sounding music it’s almost going to be a for sure hit. Also blink 182 has had good luck with keeping their fans, like you said they did this by keeping their music and lyrics the same throughout the years and never hopped on the mainstream pop music that most artists do. But overall I do agree with your review.

There are plenty of great and amazing music artists out there. We all have a favorite or at least someone in mind. One of my favorites is Wiz Khalifa. Wiz Khalifa is a hip hop/rap artist also one of the most famous as of now in the music industry. Born 1987, as Cameron Thomaz in Minot North Dakota Wiz developed a like for music, as of today he’s sold over millions of records. Wiz Khalifa was a type of “chill” or “content” music artist. He kept to himself and you can feel it in his tracks. His first album “Prince of the City”, it was him telling his story of coming up into the music scene at a young age. One of his most popular songs, “Roll Up” released off one of his recent albums “Rolling Papers”, roll up reveals a side of Wiz that most of us wouldn’t have seen in his past records. It describes how he’ll always be there for that special person; he’ll “Roll Up” whenever you need him. Most people like to compare him to Mac Miller another young and popular rap artist. Though they are both signed to Rostrum Records, they kind of have similar tastes of music. One of his most memorable songs would be Black and Yellow, which was a successful hit. His famous line, “Up in my town when you see me you know everything, Black and Yellow, Black and Yellow, Black and Yellow, Black and Yellow”. Black and Yellow represents the Pittsburgh Steelers NFL team as supposed to that Wiz spent most of his life. Even though he expresses his love for marijuana in most of his songs, critics tend to look more to his outside than into his inside more personal self. But I don’t look to his marijuana for meaning in his songs. So I disagree what any critic says about him. Everyone has hobby, obsession, no difference if he expresses his the way he does.

Response to Taryn: I agree with the opinions that Taryn has on Carrie Underwood. Country is not my favorite style of music to listen to. Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift are the only country singers that I listen to here and there. Even though she only sings one type of music, her voice still has a range of different sounds and tones. Her lyrics and meanings to her songs are what make her attract fans and audiences. I strongly agree that seeing Carrie sing hip hop or rap would be very hard to believe. She is a very strong singer and has accomplished a lot in the time that she started singing. During her career she has won many awards and this shows that she is a successful and hardworking artist. It’s great that she sings about her past and life experiences. I definitely agree about what she says when she compares Carrie to other music artists. Unlike Lil Wayne or Nicki Minaj, they mainly sing about the fantasy and dream life that everyone dreams about. For Carrie Underwood her songs are all realistic and about the life that some people are actually living in. Research on Carrie Underwood has shown mostly positive comments over negative. I don’t see why I wouldn’t agree with that because she is a wonderful country artist. The lyric that Taryn states in the song “Good Girl,” is a line in the song that is very memorable and catchy to me. This part of the song gives it a deep meaning. With her great dedication to music, our time and money is definitely worth it. Overall this blog was very enjoyable to read because I agree with Taryn’s opinions about Carrie Underwood. She is fun and interesting to listen to and a very entertaining female country singer to listen to.

Response to Emilee: I agree that Drake is very different from other rappers. He uses historical events, many metaphors, and even makes fun at society. He also uses “plain” English that anyone can understand. Other rappers use so many slangs that it becomes hard to know what they mean but Drake makes his lyrics clear, simple and to the point. I also agree that his music is exciting to listen to and a great example of that is “Successful”. The beat of the drums are intense and dramatic and that enhances his rap. Everything becomes in tune. Emily, the song you talked about “Take care” is my favorite and I agree that its fun exciting, and relaxing. Drake always finds a way to combine the feel of a song so that it makes you want to sleep and dance at the same time. The part that I found to be my favorite lyric in that song - is when he says "I've had mine, you've had yours we both know, we know. They don't get you like I will". He's trying to tell the audience that he understands that she had a history just like he has a history and they know each other’s past. He adds on by saying that nobody can relate to her like he can. I especially love how straight to the point his music is. Drake really is an amazing rapper and he deserves all the fame he has earned. Emily, I'm glad you decided to write a blog about what I believe to be the best male musician alive!

Response to Kendal: I am responding to Kendal’s blog about Paramore. I agree with her that they are a very unique band and have achieved a different sound. Each album has new emotions with each song and has created many covers, but still continue to sound the same. They have songs that are perfect for jamming out. Their second album especially sounds more rebellious and confident. I love how their music has such meaning to it as well. Their lyrics are so relatable to the audience, singing about struggled relationships and personal experiences. Their third album especially has songs about the bands personal issues. I would totally agree that Paramore is worth your time and money. The experience will be different but sound amazing!

Response to Sebastian: Response to Sebastian: Eminem is one of the few rappers that I really enjoy listening to. Though I’m not really into rap, I like Eminem because he raps about how he overcomes adversities by defying the negativity of others and just doing his own thing. He really shows this through the meaning of his lyrics and tone of voice. I definitely agree that when listening to Eminem, his voice and lyrics drone out the world and gives the listener a feeling of true art. For example, in his song “Not Afraid” Eminem raps, “And I just can’t keep living this way. So starting today, I’m breaking out of this cage I’m standing up, I’ma face my demons.” Eminem is a clearly motivated and powerful rapper, inspiring listeners to face their own struggles and overcome them. While Eminem is collaborating with other artists, personally, I like his rapping when he is alone. When I hear a song that he is featured in, I honestly only wait for his part to come up and then I just skip the rest of the song. Eminem practically steals the spotlight when it comes to songs because he has such powerful rapping abilities. I absolutely agree that Eminem is worth listening to. Though his current music is still good, I would recommend listening to his older songs, as they show more of himself as Marshall Mathers and his difficult progression through life.

Kid Cudi is easily in the top 5 most unique artists. His music is hard to put in one genre but if you would have to put him in one it would be hip-hop. Kid Cudi is a deep musician. Kid Cudi is often compared to MGMT and Ratatat, but even there not the same as Kid Cudi. I find his music has a more relaxing and deep feel to it other than most people’s harsh music. One of his most famous songs is “Day ‘N’ Night” this song is about him trying to find himself. He talks about how he thinks about everything and nothing he does helps him get over his troubles. All this is behind a nice soothing beat. Another song that really shows you who Kid Cudi is really like is “Cudderisback” you can really tell that he loves making music and it shows in his songs. He talks about how his lives life and what he does with his life. He also talks about girls and how he likes them so much. His earlier reviews from nme.com say that his music is mysterious and I agree with them. His lyrics are mostly about being lost and trying to find himself. But I think that’s what he was going for; his album was called Man on the Moon. And I think he couldn’t have picked a better album title name. Overall I believe the Kid Cudi is time and money worthy. Even if you don’t like his lyrics you will fall in love with his beats.

Response to Michelle: I agree with Michelle’s review of Taylor Swift. T Swift is a relatable country pop rocker who has everything going for her. Taylor quickly established herself as a breakthrough artist and has earned numerous awards to show her success. Not only is Taylor an amazing artist, she has aggressively used online social networks such as Twitter and Facebook to stay connected with her young audience. Taylor Swift has become a role model to many young women. As she warily narrates her own story and erases barriers between her and her fans, she is helping country reach a new audience. There are many other singers and songwriters like Taylor Swift, such as Carrie Underwood, Jewel, Jessica Simpson, Jordan Sparks and the Jonas Brothers. Like Michelle said, her relatable lyrics draw in teen girls such as, “please don’t be in love with someone else, please don’t have somebody waiting on you,” and "as far as I'm concerned, you're just another picture to burn,” and “you take my hand and drag me head first, fearless.” In the past few years, Taylor Swift has sky rocketed up the music charts and is played daily on many radio stations. Taylor Swift is a unique artist due to the fact that she is so young, multi-talented, generous, gorgeous, and genuinely kind. Expect many more number one hits from this aspiring young country teen queen.

Response to Jared: Angels and Airwaves definitely has a more mature sound to them, but at the same time, the under-notes and style of the band is relatively the same to Blink-182. This composite band has brought a new face to the rock industry without a doubt, but aren’t a brand new sound in their entirety. The albums and concerts would definitely be worth the ambiance that they create with their tone and lyrics. I agree completely that there is a vibe of love and happiness amongst this group and every new album seems to be growing onto those constant themes. It seems that the albums are evolving with each addition and continue to grow more in depth, which is incredibly dynamic for an artist of this day and age. The passion that the group members bring to their music and their fans is nothing short of spectacular and it really shows by their dedication to putting forth good music that they feel to be perfect. I agree on the opinion that Angels and Airwaves is like a modern day U2, but there is a fine line to be drawn when comparing two bands to one another because every band is separate in influence and desire and mood. Take for example, Angels and Airwaves and Blink-182. These bands have a constant in a member, very similar sound, yet nobody would say that these bands are one in the same. Jared hit on all the main points of the band, and hinted at the deeper tones of Angels and Airwaves, but a little more could never hurt, so I mentioned it earlier not as a discredit. Personally, I’m still looking for a show that I can get myself to so I can see these guys live, but until then, their cd’s will have to make do.

Nero is an electronic music duo of Daniel Stephens and Joe Ray from London, England; also, with vocals from Alana Watson. The feel of their music is futuristic, electronic, drum and bass, and it just makes you want to dance. Their music is really uplifting, upbeat, and definitely makes you want to move. Nero can be compared to many dubstep, electronic people like Skrillex, or Deadmau5 which are two more well known ones. Two popular songs of theirs that made it on the charts in the UK are "Promises" and "Must be the Feeling." These songs are memorable, as are pretty much all of their songs, because of the feeling that their music gives ( "Must be the feeling" ;) haha). It's mostly the actual music that leaves you feeling something than the lyrics, though the lyrics are genius as well. No explanation could compare to actually hearing it for yourself. The reviews on Nero are mainly positive if you like this genre which I totally agree with. People are pretty black and white about Dubstep/ electronic music; You'll either love it or hate is most of the time. It kind of grows on you though and I find it very hard to turn away from. Overall, you should definitely give them a try, especially if you've never listened to this kind of music. I personally love them and they put on an AMAZING show. It is worth the time and money because they have great music that will effect you in many ways.

Response to Lee Anna: I also did the Zac Brown Band; I agree with the statements that you have said. When I listen to them it also puts me in a good mood, and I feel relaxed. Their songs are uplifting, they make you want to relax and have fun. “Knee Deep” is a great song but I also like “Chicken Fried,” the song is so carefree and relaxing. The lyrics show this, for example, “A pair of jeans that fit just right and the radio up.” Another great song that they are known for and that I feel fits into their carefree, laid back attitude is “Keep Me In Mind,” It makes me forget about all the nonsense that goes on, and live in the moment. I also agree with the critics about the band. They always have happy fans, and they don’t disappoint. I agree with the second critic also because the Zac Brown band is talented and their songs are light and uplifting. They have won Grammy’s for their music and talent. Another artist that I would say they get compared to is Alan Jackson, because he also has light, and uplifting songs. I love the Zac Brown Band, I think they are a great band with great songs, that have an awesome attitude and presence to them.

Response to Anna: I do agree with Anna about Taylor Swift. I listen to her songs that have made it onto pop charts, such as “Love Story”, “You Belong With Me”, “Fearless”, and “Mine”. Although I don’t listen to country, I really like it when country music artists such as Swift, Lady Antebellum, or Blake Shelton’s songs are played on pop stations. This gives me a chance to hear songs I might not have heard otherwise. I like how Swift talks about real life situations. Anna is right that Swift’s songs can be enjoyed by people of all ages. The critics are correct that Swift is becoming a bigger star. In fact, she just released the new song “Eyes Open”, which is on the soundtrack from “Hunger Games”, a very popular new movie. This will make her an even more famous singer, because of the movie’s popularity. In her song “Fearless”, Swift talks about falling in love with a boy. She says “I don’t know how it gets better than this/you take my hand and drag me headfirst, fearless”. These lyrics give a picture in the listeners head about them dancing and falling in love. I think Taylor Swift’s albums are worth your time and money because listening to her music can help you rebound from a bad day.

Nickelback is a rock band from Canada. The band has been together since 1995. Their music has been classified as hard rock, alternative metal, and alternative rock. They released their first album in the United States in 1999. Their seventh and current album, “Here and Now”, was released in November 2011. The band has won many awards and has had many songs reach the Top 10 in the Billboard Hot 100.
“Here and Now” has already produced two singles, “When We Stand Together” and “Lullaby”. According to Billboard, the album has some songs that feature great guitar work, such as “This Means War”, and some love songs like “Lullaby” and “Trying Not to Love You”. These songs, along with “When We Stand Together”, which has lyrics that really make us think about our world, produce a great mix of styles on one album.
In “When We Stand Together”, they make you think about how we ignore things going on around us. Nickelback suggests that we should unite and work together to make the world better. Check out these lyrics from the song:
They tell us everything's alright
And we just go along
How can we fall asleep at night
When something's clearly wrong
When we could feed a starving world
With what we throw away
But all we serve are empty words
That always taste the same
We must stand together
There's no giving in
Hand in hand forever
That's when we all win
“Lullaby” is a love song, where the male singer is trying to talk to his girlfriend. He can’t reach her, but really wants to let her know that she is not alone and understands how she feels. He says that, “I'm telling you that / Its never that bad” and she should “give it one more try”. The song makes you feel good that he is trying to make her feel better, and maybe it will work out.
I agree with the Billboard review that says “Here and Now” is a “well-crafted” album. The EW review suggests Nickelback is silly and bored, but I still think “Here and Now” is a good album. I would recommend this album to those who like other Nickelback songs.

Response to Sadiya: Sadiya, Yes I agree with you that J. Cole is unique in his own way because he is one of my favorite artists. But one thing I don’t agree with is when you said “Drake lacks flow, he takes the same approach in nearly every song, his flow, or rhythm, rarely change”. Drake is awesome in his way it just takes the right person to realize that. Plus many of us have our own taste in music and it’s never the same as someone else. So what if drake doesn’t change? Many people enjoy music like that; because I certainly do so don’t come at Drakes life. Other than that I also agree with critics that J. Cole is not a true rapper because he’s style of rapping is like from the 1990s along with his flow. He reminds me of B.I.G and Tupac. But I truly neither think he should go to pop because he is bring back the good old days , unlike Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Bird Mane, or Waka Flocka Flamz they rap about the dumbest things in this world and have many fans. But J. Cole is great and will always be great. I love him! (:

Response to Anna: Like Anna, I am also a huge country music fan. The Zac Brown Band is one of my favorite country-music bands and I have been listening to them for a while now, especially in the summer! This is probably because a lot of their music is about kicking back and having a good time, which is what most people look forward to doing in the summer. The song “Toes” definitely shows this. I think the Zac Brown Band has a variety of songs; some are about life and experiences, whereas some of their other songs are more geared to easy-going lyrics about the simple things in life and just enjoying it, such as the song “Chicken Fried,” like Anna mentioned. I would also agree with Anna that the lyrics in the Zac Brown Band’s songs are extremely relatable and upbeat, so you can’t help belting out the words when you’re jamming in your car. I think that the Zac Brown Band is very similar to the Eli Young Band. Both of the lead singers’ voices sound a lot alike and each of the bands’ lyrics have the same concepts of life in them. I think that country music can put anyone in a good mood, especially me! Overall, the Zac Brown Band’s music puts people in a good mood and has great songs with interesting lyrics. I think they will keep gaining fans and becoming more popular in the world, so I can’t wait to see what new albums and songs they come out with next!

My favorite band to listen is A Day To Remember. This band was produced by the guitarist Tom Denny and the drummer Bobby Shrug. This band classifies in metal core, and pop punk music. A Day To Remember can evoke many emotions in the variety of songs that they produce. For example, the song “If It Means a Lot to You” evokes a sad and desperate for love feeling in the beginning of the song, but when the chorus comes the feeling that is evoked describes the feeling of knowing everything is okay, and to put the past away. This song is one of my favorites because me and my best friend like to go from that song whenever she and I get into an argument, we think of the positive times we have been through, and always put the negative things into the past. Another favorite song that I have by A Day To Remember is called “I’m Made of Wax, Larry, what are you made of?” because the beat and the lyrics remind me of how music can make me so happy. A Day To Remember is similar to the band The Devil Wears Prada just by the feel of the songs, and the emotions that are evoked through both metal core and pop punk. A Day To Remember is becoming more and more popular, and on November 16th "What Separates Me From You" debuted No. 11 on the billboard 200. Even when I show them to other people like my friends and classmates, they seem to also enjoy the emotions, and sound that the band creates. I would positively recommend that you check out A Day To Remember because it is good music, and you will find that you love jamming out to their songs.

The black keys, formed at 2001 Akron, OH. The group is a two man duo, Dan Auerbach singer and guitarist, Patrick Carney at the drums. The black keys worked in funk, soul, and rock. The group began as an independent act founded after the duo dropped out of college, and they eventually emerged among a second wave of popular garage rock revival artists from the 2000s. Their commercial breakthrough came in 2010 with Brothers, which along with its popular single "Tighten Up", won three Grammy Awards. Through October 2011, The Black Keys had sold over 2 million albums in the United States.
The Black Keys could be called counterparts of the White Stripes: they share several similarities their names are color-coded, they hail from the Midwest, they’re guitar-and-drum blues-rock duos. But the Black Keys are their own distinct thing, a tougher, rougher rock band than The White Stripes.
"Tighten Up" won Breakthrough Video at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, besting the likes of Coldplay, Dan Black and the Gorillaz. When they actually received their Moonman, it wasn't their name on the trophy; it was the Black Eyed Peas'; there was a screw-up at the printers.
Rolling Stones- “The Black Keys re-teamed with Danger Mouse to cut the first single off their new record and they've never sounded tighter or funkier. Drummer Patrick Carney pounds the skins like a drugged-up Keith Moon, and Dan Auerbach cranks out a spiky riff that's laced with Hendrix-style guitar effects. 'Tighten Up' is definitely psychedelic, but these guys still have a thing for the blues: Auerbach yelps, 'Sick for days . . . I'm aching now,' with the raw intensity of Robert Johnson at the crossroads.”
In my opinion, this band is one of the best Duos out there. A great mix between blues and rock, on the waves of Jimi Hendrix and James Brown

Response to Hasna: I agree that Rihanna is an amazing artist because she fought for where she’s at musically. I feel as though she has a lot to offer as an artist. I really like Rihanna’s music because she sings about everything that a girl goes through. When Rihanna first came out with her song pon de replay, I started to like her instantly because that song had a little bit of an upbeat sound that makes you want to dance. Rihanna continued to bring out her inner talent musically; she came out with a hit song called Hate That I Love You, when that song came out; everybody had reaction to it because it is a relatable song. She talks about how she hates the fact that she loves a guy. Girls now on days relate to songs that talk about boys because they have a lot of troubles with the significant other. Rihanna has continually brought out songs that make her fans love her even more. Not only does she sing about boys, she also sings about life and the trials and tribulations of it. My personal favorite song from Rihanna is Hate That I Love You it is a duet with Neyo. I absolutely think that Rihanna will continue to come out with great songs because her career has just begun.

Adele is one of my favorite artists, she become famous in 2011 when she released her album ‘21’. Adele is a pop artist, which writes her own songs. Adele’s album ‘21’ has a very strong feeling behind it, songs like Set Fire to the Rain and I’ll be Waiting are very powering and give of the strength to move on when things are rough. Other songs like Someone like You are more calming and sad, and shows how it is hard to move through your life when you lose people close to you. Adele isn’t like all singers she’s very original, she sings songs that relate to her life and things that happened to her and could happen to anyone. Adele’s songs are very relatable for anyone. Someone like You is a memorable song to me because it reminds me of old friends, we had fun but we grew apart once we got into high school and we all went are own ways. Another memorable song is Set Fire to the Rain it gives you strength and encouragement, but also is kind of sad. I agree with Critics that Adele is very popular and expresses her music well; also I agree that her voice is very powerful. I believe she is worth the money yes she has an amazing voice and is a strong women singer.

American Idol is a popular television show that gives aspiring singers the chance to prove and challenge themselves as an artist. Many phenomenal musicians have auditioned for the multi award winning singing competition, but only a handful of struggling artists have been successful due to American Idol. Chris Daughtry is among the select few that America has chosen to help create and shape a new generation of rock music. North Carolina native, Chris Daughtry, began singing in local rock bands at age sixteen and ten years later pursued his music dream by auditioning for the rising reality singing competition. American Idol viewers preferred the other season five contestants, which lead to the elimination of an extraordinary rocker. Luckily, label records realized how big of a mistake America had made and gave Chris Daughtry the chance to sign with RCA Records shortly after being removed from American Idol. In November 2006, the band's debut album, DAUGHTRY, was released and soon skyrocketed to the top of the billboard charts. Over the past few years Daughtry has been in and out of the spotlight with hits such as Home, What About Now, Life After You, It’s Not Over, Over You, and No Surprise. All of Daughtry’s Chris experiences are told through his songs and stage presence. Daughtry is often compared to Nickelback, Bon Jovi, 3 Days Grace, and Skillet. Although compared to such popular bands, Daughtry has broken the typical rock band persona. One of my favorite songs from this rock band is Home. Home is a song about leaving everything you know to go follow your dream, but then getting homesick and wanting to return. “Well, I'm going home, back to the place where I belong and where your love has always been enough for me, I'm not running from, no, I think you got me all wrong I don't regret this life I chose for me, but these places and these faces are getting old, so I'm going home.” Home is often used to welcome home returning soldiers, eliminating an artist from American Idol, or making a sad video on youtube. Although, Daughtry is spending time out of the spotlight at the moment they are continue releasing new albums and following their dreams. Critics believe Daughtry’s new album, Break the Spell is phenomenal yet underappreciated with lack of album sales. I believe Daughtry has proven themselves in the rock world, and will continue to make new albums despite decreasing record sales. They are the kind of band that does it because it’s a dream, not to make millions.

The song that I am writing about is “take a back road” by Rodney Atkins, which is a country genre. The song starts off kind of slow talking about how he is getting stressed out sitting in traffic, but then the song picks up and gives off a relaxing vibe. Country songs performed by artist like Rodney Atkins usually start with a problem that they are having and how a simple thing but not an object can change the whole mood such as just a back road is just letting him be able to release all of his stress and kick back and have a good time. The song ‘take a back road’ reminds me of all the good times me and my friends have had just hanging out on a country road not having to worry about anything. With the release of "Take A Back Road," Atkins is striking while the mettle is hot. The title track and first single is spending a second week atop the Top Country Songs chart. There's nobody more grateful for the feat than Atkins said in the article “Music News, Reviews, Articles, Information, News Online & Free Music | Billboard.com." Billboard. Web. 13 Apr. 2012. . Which I believe is a good thing because Rodney is still newer to the country music thing and he is already on top of the charts for two weeks in a row. If you a country music fan you must listen to the new album by Rodney Atkins and I would recommend going to the store and buying this cd it’s worth it. You can also visit Rodney on tour right now traveling to every state within the next six months.

Opeth is a band that started out in Stockholm, Sweden in 1990. Originally their genre of music was classified as Death Metal, or Heavy Metal, but I would classify it as Progressive Metal. In the beginning, I can see why they would be classified that way, their early works pretty much only incorporated Heavy Metal growls, and piercing Metal Vocals. However, in their later albums, they have incorporated almost, whisper-like vocals, to the Heavy Metal growls which had pursued in earlier works. This is why I have given them the genre of Progressive Metal. In their latest album Heritage they only incorporate the whisper-like vocals, and they get rid of the heavy riffs for peaceful cords. But this review is only for one album however, and that is the album Black Waterpark.
This album incorporates the deep vocal growls and the angelic singing. Vocalist Mikael Ã…kerfeldt designates his voice to be able to go from calm, to heavy within a split second. The song “Bleak”, incorporates both within the song. The song goes from heavy to calm time and time again. The song “Harvest” has some deep meaning in it as well. The song being about death, and wanting someone with you by your side as you pass. However, there is a confusing lyrical sentence in the song, “Wilted scenes for us who couldn't wait." This statement possibly meaning suicide? As someone is sitting in complete pain just wanting it over, so they do the unthinkable.
Many of Opeth’s songs are about dark or death like meanings. In my opinion though, it is all right, because life isn’t all just fun and games, bad or evil things are a common thing in everyday life. Another song is called “The Leper Affinity”, about Lepers being social outcasts. Having to survive, naked, poor, and brittle people, in the harshness of winter. Overall, the album Black Waterpark is by far the best Opeth album, and it screams Opeth.

In the review i read it talked about all of Adele’s winning nominations and how she has made record breaking sells. What makes Adele so popular is her strong voice and how it has so many different styles all at the same time. When i hear it I listen not only to the lyrics but how it incorporates many different genres like blues, jazz, R&B, and a pop feel. If i had to choose to put her in a type of music i would make new genera just for her and call it amazing. The other reason that i enjoy listening to her is that she has brought good music back in a time where most music all sounds the same and the same songs are "remixed" multiple times. I feel like her talent will be talked about many years after our generation and will be a favorite classic - like the beetles and Mozart. If i compare her to my other Artist Rihanna that i did in my first blog i would say they are both great but that would be all that they had in common. While Rihanna sings songs that are night club worthy Adele sings music that are more meaningful and heartfelt. I can use one of her songs on my weeding or at a time that I’m feeling down as a motivation to make me feel better. Mh favorite lyric was when she says "I'll find someone like you " i felt like that part was true for me even though i have never been in that same predicament i felt like she has made it understandable for her to feel that way. The pain in her failed relationship has made her stronger and I take from that the theme of failure in general making one a stronger more aware person. Lastly i have put her on the top of my list for people that i MUST meet before my time ticks away. To the guy that has broken up with Adele, I - we as an Adele fans have one thing to say "thanks”. Without that experience of a bad one she wouldn’t be able to bring together the feeling of complete heartbreak. "She has made people who don't normally buy Albums- buy Albums" say E! Adele's Album 21 is my personal and her feature holds more amazing music - " In five years' time I'd like to be a mum. I want to settle down and have a family, definitely sooner rather than later. I'd like to have finished my second album too, maybe even my third. I'd like a sound that sticks around that other people are inspired by and that people know is me."

”I know who I am and what I can do. With each album, it’s just me continuing to grow.” Her songs are Pure, unadulterated and empowering. That has been Mary J. Blige’s calling card ever since her 1992 multi-platinum debut album, what’s the 411? And in the ensuing years, the singer/songwriter’s musical strong suit has attracted an intensely loyal fan base responsible for propelling worldwide sales of more than 50 million albums. Marry J. Blige is an R&B, Hip Hop and Soul artist who has been in the music business for a very long time. Mary’s music is usually about empowerment and fulfilling your dreams. Her lyrics are very well relatable and touching. Keyshia Cole is a talented singer whose powerful voice is somewhat influenced by Mary. Keyshia Cole and Mary J. Blige both have powerful vocals, straightforward, heartfelt lyrics and a flair for drama. That is what makes the two very similar. Mary’s song titled be without you is very similar to Keyshia Cole’s you complete me because they both talk about how the man that they are with fulfills their needs. They also talk about if he leaves them, they will be heart broken. One of my favorite songs from Mary J. Blige is be without you because I just think that the lyrics are amazing and a good man is very hard to find so for her to put up all of those qualities of a man in her own words is just amazing to me. “Mary is essentially a long, soulful, ballad-tempo vamp over which Blige alternately and sometimes simultaneously tells tales of faithless love, preaches the gospel of female strength, and determinedly clings to hope". This is exactly what Mary stands for and that’s exactly the reason why I love and appreciate her music. I think that Mary’s music is worth listening and buying because it gives you a good feeling and you can also relate to what she has to say.

Response to Kendall: I really enjoyed reading this blog post. I have never really heard much from Hanson or if I had I never realized it was their music. However, I do know the song “Ummbop.” That song is very catchy and the video is quite entertaining because it is very cheesy and they are young. You can really tell that it was made in the 90’s, especially when it comes to their clothes. Because they have been around so long their songs appear to have matured a lot from “Ummbop” to more recent songs like the one you mentioned, “Me, Myself, and I.” What you had to say about Hanson really inspired me to go out and listen to some of their music, and it turns out that I really enjoy some of their songs. You compared them to Maroon 5 and I also agree with that comparison. I think that this would be an album I would be willing to take more time and listen to as a whole. The lyrics you picked I feel are very meaningful and spread a great message. People who are struggling should really pick up a Hanson CD. The songs are indeed very catchy. I listened to a couple and had them stuck in my head all day long. I would be interested in hearing more of your opinion of what songs you would recommend. We seem to have a similar taste in music, and I always love hearing new music and finding new artists to listen to. From what I can tell Hanson is really talented and has a good sound. I can’t wait to hear more!

Response to Anna: I really enjoyed your blog about Zac Brown Band. I also did a blog about Zac Brown Band and I had very similar feelings about them, too. I feel happy when listening to them as well. I also agree how it makes me think about all the good times in life. “Chicken Fried” is one of my favorite songs of theirs and I absolutely love the lyrics. They make life seem so carefree and fun. I have never heard of some of the albums you mentioned so I will definitely have to listen to those to hear more of their music and songs. I agree with the critics you mentioned in your blog about how they say Zac Brown Band is “Best group going in country” because I think they have great music and very carefree songs. I agree how Zac Brown Band and their songs are relatable to many different types of people. I was never much of a country fan before, but after many country groups including Zac Brown Band, I have become a true country fan. I also think that it is worth your time and money because Zac Brown Band has great songs that I, as well as many other people, have loved listening to. Their songs are great and just happy about loving life and living carefree. I hope many other people listen to them so they can experience their music, too.

One of my all-time favorite bands would be AC-DC. I like them because their music sounds natural. I also like how they put everything they have into their music. AC-DC plays American R&B music; they started playing rock around the time of Chuck Berry and ended around the time of Elvis. My favorite song by AC-DC is highway to hell. When they play that song it sounds like the most natural sounding song that I ever heard. When you hear their music you can’t help not to go along with the beat. When I hear their music I lighten even the darkest days, their music is pure awesome. Other bands have tried to duplicate AC-DC’s sound but no matter what they do they can’t get the same sound. AC-DC has a way of playing music that can’t be duplicated. Every review I looked at said that AC-DC was an “A” on the music grading scale. I personally completely agree with this. Overall AC-DC is one of the best bands I have heard. Their music can’t be beat or duplicated. Listen to some you will not be sorry.

Response to Trevor: I agree with you, Trevor, that Led Zeppelin is a great band to listen to during free time. Led Zeppelin does make a variety of music types, but it doesn’t matter to me, because it all sounds good. Playing since 1968 and having a reunion is 2007 is mind blowing to me. Any band that can maintain such a large fan base for over 40 years is definitely hall of fame material. Steve Shelokhonov says that Led Zeppelin’s debut album in 1968 “kicked open the door for all extremes and experiments,” and I will definitely say it has. Led Zeppelin is a band that has very talented musicians. Each musician in the band has the power and ability to create some sort of loving tone and sound in the music. Trevor you said, that most of their songs are great, and it is true. I have not found one Led Zeppelin song I do not like. The song” Angel dance” does have a ringing sound that pops up regularly in the song, but it does not bother me too much. The song “When the Levee Breaks” is one of my favorite songs too. In fact, Led Zeppelin is one of my most favorite bands of all time. Trevor says Led Zeppelin is definitely worth your time and money and I’ll stand with him on that opinion.

Response to Austin:Blink-182 has always been one of my favorite bands. I highly agree with the statement that this band has changed the music industry effecting millions of listeners around the world and also influencing many bands. Austin compares Good Charlotte to Blink-182 saying they have a similar sound which I also agree with. Craveonline.com said that their words are powerful and that they always turned the worst of times into lyrics that stated the issue but also had a sense of humor behind it, just to show people in today’s world that everything isn’t always as bad as they come to believe. Austin agreed with Craveonline.com and so do I because that is the exact feeling that I get from them as I listen to some of their songs, more specifically “After Midnight.” I only disagree with Austin in saying that the band has the same sound. I think that their new album, Neighborhoods, really shows Blink182’s next chapter of music in sounding more mature but doesn’t sound like a completely different band.

Response to Austin:I totally agree that Slipknot has the metal world by storm. They have a lot of musical talent and they also have the edge and grit that people love. When I first listened to them, they sounded very unique, which you had mentioned, and also very talented. With the nine member band, it creates more musical background to form a very distinct sound that is not like any other band out there. Although, new metal these days is more hardcore, in my opinion. Bands have taken over the fast paced and younger generation by storm. Slipknot has not yet faded away, but with no new albums up to date, people are starting to lose interest. The theatrical theme of slipknot is very cool. The outfits that they wear make them so distinguished that it is hard to not be able to pick them out of a crowd. With playing in big fests and music tours this band has really made a name for themselves. Overall, I like this band and the grit that they carry with them. I know people will still listen to them and keep them under their radar!

Response to Abdi: I completely agree with you on what you said about Wiz Khalifa; he rise up on his own without anyone helping him. Wiz said in one of his interview that he doesn't have a rich uncle who can put him in recording studios and help him out; it's just him and his crew working hard and rising up above others. Manny celebrities also rise up by being involve and inducted into the Illuminati, but it seem though that Wiz shows no signs of him having anything to do with them. The lyrics in his songs shows no trace of subliminal messages, and he seems pretty normal in his interviews with Bing. You did also mention that Wiz's style is very similar to Big Sean, but I'm also thinking that his is more like Snoop Dogg; perhaps it is because Snoop signed him and propel his career forward. As for Pittsburg, they're no longer known for their football team, but for a famous hip hop artist who climb his way up to fame and the crew know as Taylor Gang. In my opinion, I would continue to listen to Wiz as long as he don't start rapping about nonsense, wear messed up clothes, makes flashy videos with demonic references and start working with Jay-Z, Kanye West and Rihanna.

Response to Jason:My blog response is focused on Mac Miller, which was previously done by Jason. Mac miller is also one of my favorite rap artists who focuses his music on just living free and expresses himself well through his music. Jason had mentioned in his blog that Mac miller also sings about how to make yourself happy. I would also have to agree with Jason because his songs have a feel-good vibe to him that is incorporated into his beats and his vocals as well. In most of his songs vocally his voice sounds smooth and relaxing. For example one of his albums, KIDS, talks about just laying back and relaxing with your friends to remove yourself from stress going on in your life. “Nikes on my feet” is one of the songs from Mac Miller’s KIDS album and it talks about how the Nikes on his feet represent the success in his life and that it will never leave his feet. Just like Jason had mentioned in his blog, the album KIDS also gives out a message of what it’s like throughout his career and the major changes that have happened to him in his life. Critics say that this album is the new hip-hop people have been searching for and that Mac Miller was an instant sensation across the country, I would have to agree because his music is different from other rap and hip-hop songs I’ve listened to. My typical hip-hop song just has a good up-beat to it and the rapping is more intense, in Mac Miller’s case, his music is more smoothing but at the same time keeps that “rap” feel to it. Overall I would have to agree with Jason that Mac Miller is a good and intelligent rap artist whose music will continue to grow as the years go by, and he is definitely worth your time and money.

Response to Bree: I really like Hot Chelle Rae. I just recently started listening to them and I feel like the kind of became a big success really quickly. I also would definitely agree that their album is upbeat rather than sad and lonely sounding. The band itself mostly seems to target teenagers as an audience so their songs tend to relate to the experiences most teens go through which is probably why they became so successful. I agree with the bands you found to compare to Hot Chelle Rae such as The Downtown Fiction and One Direction. I feel like Hot Chelle Rae could also be compared to bands like Boys Like Girls. The song “Whatever” does have some of the more influential lyrics like you mentioned. I also liked the lyrics: “ Falling stars don’t crash through your window/ If you want it, go get it, it’s meant to be chased/ All your scars won’t heal till you let go/ You’re perfectly worth it, forget your mistakes” from the song “Forever Unstoppable.” I would agree with the critics opinion as well because Hot Chelle Rae is an overall positive band that has the talent that is necessary to make an impact on their listeners. I agree that Hot Chelle Rae is worth your time especially for those who are fans of pop-rock music that has a catchy beat.

Response to Yasmin: Yasmin, chose my favorite artist of all time, Michael Jackson. I liked how she included a little bit of background and history but did not focus on it. All of Michael’s songs were very significant to society He always sang songs about the world like "They Don't Care About Us" always trying to send a message through his awesome songs. His lyrics provoked a feeling in humanity to become better people. One particular song that evokes feelings of self-change is “Man in the Mirror” in the song he is telling the world, in order to change the world; he has to start with the man in the mirror “I’m asking him to change his ways”. When you listen to songs like that, it’s easy to see and understand why so many people love him. Michael Jackson’s music is like no other, todays artist have songs out that are dominated by plain, dull meaningless love songs. Billie Jean being the first Music Video to be on MTV by an African American paved the way for others to get a chance. The next time you turn on the radio and hear all those meaningless songs about drugs, getting wasted, partying, and all those truly pointless things, remember Michael Jackson. He was the King of Pop and always will be. His songs have got meaning, and will never, ever be forgotten. Buying Michael Jacksons records will be worth your money because a legend never dies.

Response to Megan B: I agree with what you’re saying about Carrie Underwood. She is a really strong singer that has accomplished so much in the time that she has been singing. She did have a rough start in her career before she started on American Idol. But she has come so far in the past couple of years. Her albums have always had a message together I think. In her career she has won many awards and I think that she should have sometime won a couple more. Carrie has had amazing reviews for everything that she has done. Besides going out on the road, she tries to help out organizations that she is really involved in. Both of her albums have been really big hits with everyone. She does have a lot of popular songs, like “Before He Cheats” and “Wasted”. Now those are just two of the songs that are most popular, she really does have many other ones. Some of the reviews that have been said for her 3rd album are “her 3rd album is the best yet,” said by Ken Tucker. Carrie has had an amazing career so far and will continue to have one for years to come.

Response to Yasmin: I agree with her that Lady Gaga is very unique. At first I wasn’t a big fan of her, but her songs are so catchy that it’s kind of hard not to like her. You can tell that she was really influenced by Madonna; by the way she dresses and preforms. She is very out there with her style choices; in 2010 she wore a dress made of meat to the VMA awards. It was a whole dress made of raw meat; she even had a little hat to go along with it. But besides her crazy clothing choices her music is very popular. She has had 9 number one hits since 2008. Of the nine, my favorite was “Just Dance” which Yamin had mention in her blog, saying that it had established her as an up-and-coming superstar. Even though she isn’t my favorite artist, she is very, very talented, I won’t deny that. Her fans that she has are her “monsters” and they are very much in love with Lady Gaga because Lady Gaga is one of the few people that are so strongly involved with the gay, straight, bi and transsexual population. And this also makes her more popular for other than just her music.

Kenneth I liked how you compared Tyga and Trey Songz. Most of the time Tyga’s lyrics are about what he’s been through and his childhood and Trey songz lyric’s is about relationships. Tyga is not just your everyday rapper from Compton; he is signed to Lil Wayne’s group called Young Money. Tyga’s album delivers extraordinary feel that everyone like to enjoy. Tyga became known after he bumped onto McCoy at popular Los Angeles sneakers store. They were first talking about shoes but little did McCoy know that Tyga can rap. I like the way Kenneth explained the feeling you get when someone listens to Tyga’s songs … “best feeling you will get out of listening to his songs is a intense feeling from the bass of the song and a spine chilling feeling from the remarkable lyrics he has on his songs”. Tyga’s songs are very interesting to listen because it’s not like every rapper songs. Tyga provides different flavor and feeling when someone plays his tracks. This young star is so unique and I don’t even think he is aware of it. Luckily Lil Wayne seen that and that’s why he is now signed to Young Money. Tyga released many mix tapes. Fan of a Fan was the most known Chris Brown and Tyga created by producers DJ Ill Will and DJ Rock star. Most of the songs from the mix tape gained lots of viewers and on August 26, 2010, the mix tape reached number fourteen on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. Careless World: Rise of the Last King is his second studio album. The album will be released on February 21, 2012 on Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records, and Universal Republic Records. In Tyga’s album the song’s success and rise debuted at number 91 on the Billboard Hot 100, and has peaked at number 8 since then. The critics say good things about Tyga and I do agree with them. He is a young rising rapper that will soon become number one on billboards.

Response to Alex G1: Wiz Khalifa is a great artist that varies his music. He has songs that are relaxing to songs that are upbeat. Wiz Khalifa has a great group of artists on his team. Chevy Woods has been with Wiz since high school. This group of artist really helps Wiz reach his potential. They add a verse to the song, which makes it better. Snoop Dog is a veteran in rap music, and with Wiz being only 24; he can learn lots from him. Some of the younger artists he is working with have also become famous because of Wiz. They have worked as a team to help each other to reach their goals. Wiz Khalifa raps for the paycheck not for fame. He raps to support his future family. His beats are what make him different in my opinion. Some of his styles of beats are something I’ve never heard from another rapper. Wiz can change his voice from signing to rapping. Most his songs he is singing more than rapping on the chorus. But when the verse comes around, this is when Wiz Khalifa at his best. I’ve heard some of his freestyles and I’m not the biggest fan, but when it comes to his mix tapes, I think he’s one of the best in the business.

Stefani Joanne Angelina is a great song writer, a producer, outrageous live performer, and pop star and many people also know her as Lady GaGa. Dance-pop singer/songwriter, Lady GaGa is well known for her international chart-topping smash hit "Just Dance," and this songs’ success established her as an up-and-coming superstar in 2008. Lady GaGa was influenced by David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, and of course Madonna and Michael Jackson. During her childhood, Lady GaGa began playing the piano and later on as a teenager, she started writing songs and performing. The music industry began to notice Lady GaGa in 2007 at club scene in downtown Manhattan performing “Starlight” and got signed to Def Jam. On April of 2008, as a solo artist, Lady GaGa debuted her single, "Just Dance” and it was released on the radio followed by her albums Fame and Fame Monster which hit number one. After couple months later, she has quickly become one of the world's biggest pop stars. In January 2010, Lady Gaga collaborated with Elton John to open the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. She performs "Poker Face” and ends up taking two awards at the ceremony, for Best Dance Recording ("Poker Face") and Best Electronic/Dance Album. The album stayed on top of the charts for 106 non-consecutive weeks and, since its release, it has sold over 12 million copies worldwide. Fame Monster deals with the darker side of fame from personal experience; it is expressed through a monster metaphor. Rolling Stone named Gaga the "Queen of Pop" in 2011. Lady GaGa calls her fans “little monsters”. Lady GaGa has 5 million Twitter followers and over 10 million Facebook fans. GaGa has identified fashion as a major influence and she says her admiration came from her mother. Gaga's albums have received mostly positive reviews and critics have pointed out her unique place in pop music. I myself like Lady GaGa because she brings a different and uncommon show to her fans which add a little flavor to the music industry. Her songs and fashion sense are extraordinary. Critics and everyone who loves music will get everything their looking for in Lady GaGa such as: great performances, distinctive hit songs/albums, unique fashion style, and of course her outstanding personality.
