The song that I am writing about is “take a back road” by Rodney Atkins, which is a country genre. The song starts off kind of slow talking about how he is getting stressed out sitting in traffic, but then the song picks up and gives off a relaxing vibe. Country songs performed by artist like Rodney Atkins usually start with a problem that they are having and how a simple thing but not an object can change the whole mood such as just a back road is just letting him be able to release all of his stress and kick back and have a good time. The song ‘take a back road’ reminds me of all the good times me and my friends have had just hanging out on a country road not having to worry about anything. With the release of "Take A Back Road," Atkins is striking while the mettle is hot. The title track and first single is spending a second week atop the Top Country Songs chart. Which I believe is a good thing because Rodney is still newer to the country music thing and he is already on top of the charts for two weeks in a row. If you a country music fan you must listen to the new album by Rodney Atkins and I would recommend going to the store and buying this cd it’s worth it. You can also visit Rodney on tour right now traveling to every state within the next six months.
