Response to Jared: Angels and Airwaves definitely has a more mature sound to them, but at the same time, the under-notes and style of the band is relatively the same to Blink-182. This composite band has brought a new face to the rock industry without a doubt, but aren’t a brand new sound in their entirety. The albums and concerts would definitely be worth the ambiance that they create with their tone and lyrics. I agree completely that there is a vibe of love and happiness amongst this group and every new album seems to be growing onto those constant themes. It seems that the albums are evolving with each addition and continue to grow more in depth, which is incredibly dynamic for an artist of this day and age. The passion that the group members bring to their music and their fans is nothing short of spectacular and it really shows by their dedication to putting forth good music that they feel to be perfect. I agree on the opinion that Angels and Airwaves is like a modern day U2, but there is a fine line to be drawn when comparing two bands to one another because every band is separate in influence and desire and mood. Take for example, Angels and Airwaves and Blink-182. These bands have a constant in a member, very similar sound, yet nobody would say that these bands are one in the same. Jared hit on all the main points of the band, and hinted at the deeper tones of Angels and Airwaves, but a little more could never hurt, so I mentioned it earlier not as a discredit. Personally, I’m still looking for a show that I can get myself to so I can see these guys live, but until then, their cd’s will have to make do.
