Big Sean was born and raised in Detroit. Many considered him to be one of the most popular hip-hop artists of 2011. He attracts the attention of many people all around the world. This is because of his upbeat and relaxed flow of the music. Big Sean is seen as the new uprising hip-hop artist who will eventually get to the top with his catchy, jingle type, mellowed out lyrics. IGN Music records rates Big Sean’s album Finally Famous a total of 8/10. When artists see their ratings they push themselves harder with their music career.
Big Sean’s catchy flow is what factors out the other competitors in the music business. He is able to switch his style of rapping to link with other different types of beats. One of his songs called “Memories” is a good example of a song that could help people reach a state of relax and calmness. Its soothing beat and tempo would be able to help ease a persons’ stress. Compared to a different style of rap, Soulja Boy is the complete opposite. With his catchy but monotonous songs, he wouldn’t be able to reach as high as Big Sean can achieve.
When I usually listen to his album I usually feel relax and have this care-free feeling towards the world. Also when I listen to some of his songs I feel like I have no weight on my shoulders and that everything has just gone away for the time being.
“I swear I’ve been through everything in life but a coffin,” is a very memorable lyric because it shows that he’s encountered many obstacles in life, but the only one he hasn’t gone through yet is death. With that it creates a huge field of emotions that attracts and keeps the fans. I believe that his music is worth the time and money because he puts a lot of effort in his music. Big Sean’s music in my opinion happens to be that missing key to a persons’ satisfaction.
I strongly agree with the other critics’ opinions about Big Sean’s music. He is a talented young artist. Critics say that his voice and meaningful lyrics are what attracts the audiences and fans. I also agree with this statement because audiences wouldn’t listen to Big Sean if he wasn’t good.
