One group I have always enjoyed listening to is a day to remember. They’re a pop punk and metal core. One song that I really enjoy listening of them is “If it means a lot to you”. This song is mainly about a guy in the military that want his relationship work with his girlfriend when he come back home, but she having a hard time waiting for him for years. The emotions that are being evoked are sadness. When I hear this song it relaxing and calm. One memorable lyric that I like about the song is “And I know you don't feel right when I'm leaving, Yeah I want it but no I don't need it, Tell me something sweet to get my by”. It memorable to me because it relates to my life, my boyfriend is in the military and it hard for me because I don’t want him to leave but it something he wants to do with his life. Some people have been criticizing the type of music a day to remember do. I disagree because their music it different from other rock bands. Some rock bands are just metal, punk or rock a day to remember it using a different type such as pop punk and metal together. These band it worth seeing and buying their CD’s because this band is different from other bands and people would enjoy their music.
