There are plenty of great and amazing music artists out there. We all have a favorite or at least someone in mind. One of my favorites is Wiz Khalifa. Wiz Khalifa is a hip hop/rap artist also one of the most famous as of now in the music industry. Born 1987, as Cameron Thomaz in Minot North Dakota Wiz developed a like for music, as of today he’s sold over millions of records. Wiz Khalifa was a type of “chill” or “content” music artist. He kept to himself and you can feel it in his tracks. His first album “Prince of the City”, it was him telling his story of coming up into the music scene at a young age. One of his most popular songs, “Roll Up” released off one of his recent albums “Rolling Papers”, roll up reveals a side of Wiz that most of us wouldn’t have seen in his past records. It describes how he’ll always be there for that special person; he’ll “Roll Up” whenever you need him. Most people like to compare him to Mac Miller another young and popular rap artist. Though they are both signed to Rostrum Records, they kind of have similar tastes of music. One of his most memorable songs would be Black and Yellow, which was a successful hit. His famous line, “Up in my town when you see me you know everything, Black and Yellow, Black and Yellow, Black and Yellow, Black and Yellow”. Black and Yellow represents the Pittsburgh Steelers NFL team as supposed to that Wiz spent most of his life. Even though he expresses his love for marijuana in most of his songs, critics tend to look more to his outside than into his inside more personal self. But I don’t look to his marijuana for meaning in his songs. So I disagree what any critic says about him. Everyone has hobby, obsession, no difference if he expresses his the way he does.
