One of the best rappers of our century is Rick Ross. Since his rapping career started in 2006, he has been awarded plenty of Grammies. Mixed emotions come from listening to his music. If you are from a poverty stricken area, then you can most likely relate to Rick Ross 100% of the time. Like most other rappers, Rick Ross talks about the street life; guns, drugs, and girls. In his song “Hustlin’ ” released in his Port of Miami album. But even if you are not from a tough neighborhood, you still get a feel of “hype” when you listen to his music. Rick Ross uses sick beats to reach out to his listeners. Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow” can closely be related to Rick Ross’s Hustlin’. In 2010 Wiz Khalifa finally became known when he released “Black and Yellow.” In his song, he also uses plenty of beats which too bring a certain “hype” to listeners. Aside from that, Wiz Khalifa shows the “struggle,” AKA the street life. He raps about his tough childhood, which consisted of gangs and drugs, to where he is now; a high up Grammy winning champion. Certain lyrics from songs always seem to stick out. For example, in Rick Ross’s song “On top of the World,” he says “Every dollar I get keeps me stuntin.” He is talking about how thankful he is for what he actually does have. He doesn’t take it for granted. In another one of his songs, “No. 1,” he raps, “my cup full blowin on that good weed.” Like stated earlier in this blog, he raps a lot about the drug life. In these lyrics, he shows how much he actually cares for drugs and what they do for him. In many different reviews, critics brag about how great Rick Ross is at what he is doing. And I do agree with what they are saying. I personally listen to a lot of his music, and from other songs I’ve listened to, he is the best. In Hip Hop DX’s recent post on March 13, 2014, Sheldon Pierce explains some of Rick Ross’s great qualities. He goes on saying, “Mastermind" is simply a hodgepodge of classic Rick Ross tropes thrown into one and tagged with a title more fit for super-villainy.” Sheldon is showing how great his new album “Mastermind” is. Looking back at his career and what he has for the future, one can defiantly agree that listening to his music is worth our time. If you are one of those people that love the extra “hype,” then buying his albums is worth your time.

One of my favorite and one of the most favored rappers today has to be Eminem. He was born 1972, October, 17th in St. Joseph, Missouri. He was raised in a trailer home as a kid and had a bad child hood and never knew his father. He has the most interesting music explaining his feelings about his life and what he has gone through. His music is very emotional and can be very violent sometimes. He talks about things that he knows he’d never do to get his feelings out through his music. This is why I like his music it feels like venting to me, and it helps me express my feelings/ gets my anger out when I’m upset. As a young adult I have learned from his music and it makes me able to understand someone that has come up from a place in their life and become famous and make their dream a reality all by himself. As a white male, a lot of people had doubted his success; some never gave him a chance to hear him rap. But when he finally stood up in front of a crowd and started rapping people liked him giving him the benefit of the doubt as he through awesome lyrics at them. Eminem thrived for success and for people to listen to his music in a way that would help them express their feelings as he did. He has now slowed down his music career as he is now in his 40’s. He feels he is too old to be rapping violence because of his kid and that he needs to be more of a father now. That is why I respect him so much as a person to drop his big success as one of the best rappers in the world to be a better father and be there for his kid. Those are just some if the reasons he’s my favorite.

Zedd, also known as Anton Zaslavski, is a Russian-German electronic music producer. Although he is only twenty-four years old, he is making a name for himself in the music industry with his electro house genre. He is most known for his song “Clarity”, but just last year he released a new hit featuring Hayley Williams. This song has been reaching the top of the charts all over the world. This hit song features lyrics by Hayley Williams to accompany the electronic/dance music produced by Zedd. The main lyrics of the song are, “stay the night” which greatly impacts the mood of the song. These lyrics featured alongside the smooth melodies of the piano and the upbeat electro sounds give this song a very energetic feel but also is able to give listeners a very calming effect because of the message behind the lyrics. Zedd is known in all of his songs for having unique beats and sounds which are able to drive his songs to the top of the billboards. Other hit electronic/dance music producers such as Avicii have similar styles to Zedd, with their songs featuring many addictive rhythms that are easily deciphered from any other artists, but their music does not create the same emotional impression because their songs lack the depth that Zedd is able to create with his lyric and music combo. The lyrics in “Stay the Night” are filled with the repetitive sentences from Hayley saying “stay the night.” This main chorus imparts to listeners the feeling that the singer does not want someone to leave but rather “stay the night.” This song may resonate to listeners who are going through similar situations in their own relationships and thus grow to love the song even more. Many critics are bashing this song for its repetitive nature but the repeating of lyrics along with the amazing piano and electro sounds is what really differentiates this song from any other song from Zedd. The lyrics, “stay the night” are able to drive home for listeners the feeling of not wanting someone to leave. Unlike some of Zedd’s other songs which just offer amazing sounds, “Stay the Night” because of its lyrics makes this song very memorable for someone in a situation much like what Hayley is singing about. Listeners will be able to connect their own situations to this song and for this reason remember it for even longer. Anyone who can get past the repetitive nature of this song will be happy to purchase it. Listeners will first hear the amazing electronic sounds that this song has to offer but will then get drawn into the meaningful lyrics. Whenever someone hears this song on the radio they cannot help but to sing along.

One of the singers I enjoy listening to is Pharrell Williams. He is a pop singer. One of the best albums he made was G I R L. The album was released March 3, 2014. The song I’m reviewing is called “Happy.” The feeling the song reflects is that he actually likes girl a lot, and makes the listeners happy about the relationship. His music is similar to Bruno Mars because he sings about relationships also. Pharrell Williams is very different than 50 Cents because he is not hip-hop artists. The rapper, 50 Cents is a contrast to Pharrell Williams because his music contains lyrics that are inappropriate words. The lyrics that are particularly memorable are: “Because I’m happy, Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof, because I’m happy, Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth because I’m happy, Clap along if you know what happiness is to you Because I’m happy, Clap along if you feel like that’s what you wanna do.” The lyrics are good because if you feel sad, you can just listen to the lyrics to the song. The critics agree that it is an award winning song. According Rollingstone, “The music is just as uncluttered as the track list, riding the light, euphoric vibe Pharrell established on the album's Number One hit, "Happy." The only requirement for getting into this club is admitting your own joy.” I agree with the critics’ opinions about the music because it is pleasant to listen to. My overall opinion is that it is worth the time and money to purchase the album. The lyrics are appropriate for all ages. The music is classy to listen to, and will lighten your mood. I recommend this album for everyone.

Rick Ross is a rapper who does much collaboration with other artist. Some of them are jay-z, meek mill. One of the songs I really like is war ready in which he does it with jeezy. The feel that comes from that song is standin what you stand for. With Rick Ross being a rapper many of his songs can sound a lot like other rappers songs. But what makes him stand out from the rest is he has that deep voice that no other rappers do and he has his signature “huh”. In the song war ready he states that he’s war ready I like that because he’s always ready in case anybody tries to gun at him. Another line is “did some things for my n---as which I can’t explain”. I like it because he’s always there for his homes through thick and thin. When I lived in Duluth me and my friends always had echothers back if you didn’t have any one there for you going out to the streets alone was not the best thing you could do because people out there are trying to get what they want when they want it. Some people say that Rick Ross isn’t what he used to be by saying that his new album mastermind has lost his drug lord act and now it’s just disappointing. I think that he has still got it his songs still go hard and is still pulling of the drug lord act in my opinion. I think that buying rick rosses songs and albums is worth it and he does a lot of collaborations worth other rappers which make for better songs the more people make better music because two heads is better than one. His songs are good for working out hanging out with your friends.

Luke Bryan was born on July 17, 1976 in Leesburg, Georgia. Luke was about to move to Nashville to pursue his dream of being a big time singer at 19 years old. Then all of a sudden a disaster happened. His older brother, Chris, got into a car accident and passed away. Luke Bryan is surging to the top as one of the best country singers. He is making a various variety of different kind of country songs. He has upbeat party songs such as, “That’s My Kind Of Night”, then he also has songs that show a bunch of emotional sad songs such as, “Drink a Beer.” In “Drink a Beer” it is a very sad tone. The song is dedicated to his sister and brother who both have passed away at a very young age. You can hear it in his voice how much they meant to his life and how much he misses them. Some lyrics that are memorable to me are “funny how the good ones go too soon, but the good Lord knows the reason why.” These stand out to me because it’s not easy watching some people you love pass away and he believes that the Lord is with them and watching them. He believes that there is a reason why it happened and that is his motivation to be happy. Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton are both amazing country singers. They both have that true southern country tone and have similar songs. The difference is Blake Shelton likes doing more up-beat music and Luke Bryan does a lot of different styles from up-beat to slow and emotional. A lot of critics say that Luke is becoming one of the best country singers, and he’s adding a special twist. He isn’t your average country bot. I agree with this because Luke is a rowdy guy and loves having fun during his performances. I think that he is one of the best country singers. He would defiantly be worth going to see live. The atmosphere at his concerts is like any other. I have heard he sounds perfect live. Give it a few years and he will be the best country singer around.

One of the best bands of the century is the foo fighters. They are an alternative/ hard rock band. The band first started to form back in 1994 in Seattle. The band goes from low key music to a harder beat. Like the song ever long they are more serious. Then in like songs the pretender they go to an exciting word and beat that really makes the song exciting to listen to. Foo fighters have a song called The Best of You; it talks how you shouldn’t let people get under your skin and across get The Best Of You. Then they have another song like Hero that talks about peoples heroes and how they help make the world a better place. The band stared after the band Nirvana broke up. Dave Grohl was in the band Nirvana and after they broke up he still wanted to keep playing and making new songs. So in 1994 he got four guys together to make the band. They won a Grammy Award in 2000 for their music video Learn to Fly. Grohl brought his guitar with him when he was on the road and wrote songs. The band has come out with five album’s and there most recent one Wasting Light has there changes in sound of the song. In the album they came out with a song called Walk that has been nominated for several awards and is there most recent hit song. The band really likes to talk to the heart to get to their listeners, that’s why I really like the band and a lot of other people to. They just started working on their 8th studio album; they hope to release it in 2015. I and many people will keep listing and enjoying the beat and lyrics of the best band of the century.

Pronounced Leh-Nerd Skin-Nerd is the debut album from Lynyrd Skynyrd, released in 1973. The album features simple man, free bird and Tuesdays Gone and some others witch launched the band into stardom with their debut album. That came out in the early 70s when rock and roll was in its prime. Came some southern boys from Jacksonville Florida that did not wanted to listen just wanted to rock and roll with no thought of school in mind just the band Lynyrd skynyrd so They did not finish high school to work on the band to practice southern hard rock.So with their first album release was pronounced Leh-Nerd-skin-Nerd witch took rock from the 60s and southern touch to it witched stuck and caused southern rock up rise in the states people could not get enough of it from song like Teusdays gone, simple man and free bird making southern rock the only rock to listen to some compared them as the next greatest thing to happen to since the BeatlesTo rock and roll. With music that could make just relax to and be care free for the whole album when times where not the greatest. With the power to change people’s moods in my opinion pronounced lynyrd synyrd is by far one of the greatest in rock and roll. Even though there was other greats in the 70s like queen and AC DC not as moving as lynyrd synyrd was witch is why I love the album. Cause it changes moods, passes time when nothing to do, new type of southern hard rock and still today they are changing moods and inspiring people just by there music. Making it one of the best albums ever to be recorded……

Rick Ross, otherwise known as Ricky Rozay, is by far one of my favorite rappers. He was born in Coahoma County, Missouri and became a police officer, until 2006, when he began his music career. Ross boomed to become the world renowned multi-million dollar rapper after his debut single “Hustle”. His famous line “every day I’m hustlin” lead his album, Port of Miami, to number 1 on the Billboards Album Chart. Rick Ross continued to release top charted albums and a few have even gotten gold and platinum! As the fame got to him, Ricky Rozay created his very own record album called Maybach Music Group. Some of the other rappers in his record label include Wale, DJ Scream, Stalley, Meek Mill, Rockie and Omarion. Like most other rappers, Rick Ross primarily raps about girls, money, and drugs. I find this very ironic since he was associated criminal justice, but I guess the good in people doesn’t always last. With his success, came all of the money. Ross has a net worth of a whopping 35 million dollars. Just his necklace of himself cost nearly 2 million dollars! You can say that its money well spent for a guy that works hard for his fans. Although most of his songs are club bangers and for the hype, Rick Ross has a few meaningful songs. For example, his song “Ashton Martin Music” is a chill and laid back song literally about him cruising in his Ashton Martin. He also reminisces about his bae and how he misses her. Overall, Rick Ross is a fascinating rapper. Not only has he impressed his fans, but also hip hop legend, Jay Z. He loved Ross so much that the executive of Dej Jam Records signed him to the label. Rick Ross is a big guy doing big things.

Marshall Mathers also known as Eminem was born in Saint Joseph, Missouri. He started rapping in the late 1990’s and is still rapping today. His name originated from his full name Marshall Mathers. It first started out as M&M witch was just a nickname but then later became Eminem. Eminem first album that was released was infinite released in 1996 than in 1999 there was The slim shady LP that album itself was a greatest hits album under the name curtain call which dropped in 2005. Since 1996 Eminem has produced 13 albums. He has produced music with many other artist such as Busta rhymes, Skylar grey, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Nate Ruess, those are just some from the new album there are many more. His newest album the Marshall Mathers lp 2 witch was realest in 2013. The mmlp2 has a little bit of different style then the rest of his album there is still a lot of his old style in them but they are different in like the beats In love game featuring Kendrick Lamar its more of an upbeat speed and a happier feel to it but it still has his wide vocabulary like the rest of his music. Maybe in a few year more new rappers will get more into Eminem’s style witch is a very unique style with his vocab. His vocab has a huge variety because he failed 9th grade 3 times and then dropped he used to study the dictionary so his vocab is huge this plays a huge role in all of music. Eminem has sold over 80 million albums and over 120 million singles worldwide. The type of music that Eminem make I would categorize it a rap as would just about everyone else in the world. One song that is very remember and just about everyone knows is the Real slim shady I don’t know what it is but it is very catchy and many people remember the lyrics will the real slim shady please stand up please stand up. There are many emotion that evoked in his music sometimes it can be dark or it can be energetic and more upbeat and then there’s the in-between witch is just his normal but they all have some emotion that is spit through the beat and lyrics. The only other person that I can compare Eminem with is tech n9ne because they both have very unique styles and both of their music is awesome. I agree with the critics that say that he is a very unique rapper I believe that any album that you go out and buy produced by Eminem is worth it because he is a great rapper.

Aaron Dontez Yates aka Tech n9ne is a rapper born in Kansas City, Missouri. He started rapping in 1990 and is still going strong today. His rap name had originated from the TEC-9 semi-automatic handgun, given to him by rapper Black Walt due to his fast rhyming Chopper style. Yates later applied a deeper meaning to the name, claiming that it stands for the complete technique of rhyme, with tech meaning technique and nine representing the number of completion. In 1999 tech n9ne and Travis O’Guin started a new label named Strange music productions. Throughout his career Tech n9ne has sold over two million albums and has had his music featured in film, television, and video games. In 2009, he won the Left Field Woodie award at the mtvU Woodie Awards. Most of his early albums had more of a dark and depressing mood while his later albums had more of a rock and upbeat feel to them. Tech n9ne has produced songs with many other well-known rappers; like B.o.B, E-40, Snoop Dogg, Hopsin, T-Pain, Jay Rock, Mint Condition, Busta Rhymes, Twista, Lil Wayne, machine gun Kelly, Wiz Khalifa, and Yelawolf. Nathan S. of DJBooth stated about his newest album “Something else”: Who knows, maybe in a year all hip-hop will sound more like Something Else. Certain rappers, the true outsiders, are just so undeniably dope they shift hip-hop culture towards them. Tech N9ne is one of those rappers. I completely agree with his statement about Tech N9ne I believe his music will cause some changes in the rap game. Earlier he also says this; While Tech N9ne’s not in that elite company, at least not yet, he’s closer than many give him credit for, and just got even closer to maybe, just maybe, shifting hip-hop’s balance with the release of his new album, Something Else. I also agree with what he says Tech N9ne is very close to joining the ranks of the rap greats. With his latest success on his albums he is very close to that goal. I think Tech n9ne is worth the time and money to get his albums, if you like listening to his fast pace beats and even faster lyrics, he is a very talented rapper and you will be hooked on his music quickly.

Whether you know Machine Gun Kelly as the Wild Boy or the up and-coming hip/hop artist who can spit rhymes with lightning-fast precision, one thing remains true: he has influenced thousands of people around the world. On June 26, 2013 MGK released his free mixtape album, Black Flag, as a gift to his EST fans around the world. This album gives fan a personal look into MGK’s personal life and the struggles he has had to overcome to get to where he is today. Victorious as ever, the album begins with “Raise The Flag”. In this song, MGK proudly talks about struggles he has overcome to reach the platform that he’s at today. He raps about showering at truck stops during his early tours, because he couldn’t afford hotel rooms at the time. The kid from Cleveland has come a long way. “I was just a fool in a room full of Edison’s, look at me now.” The lyrics make fans, including me, empowered to accomplish anything and everything. One reason why Machine Gun Kelly has so many fans is because his music is relatable to everyone. Many artists today sing or rap about the luxuries of becoming famous; it may be a catchy tune, however there isn’t a deep message to the fans. MGK raps about real situations that people go through, including himself. Most of his songs give an inside look to how his life was before he signed his deal and how he was struggling to make ends meet. My favorite song by MGK is “Home Soon”, which is also a track on the Black Flag album. “See it started as a dream, that dream came true. Send a message to my city tell them we’ll be home soon”, these lyrics support how he has come a long way to get to where he is today. I agree that his songs are powered by a combination of passion and precision. As an MC, he could rattle out verses at what seemed like warp-speed, but at the same time, those rhymes also manage to show a world of pain and frustration to his fans. Is MGK worth your time and money? Absolutely! Machine Gun Kelly continuously inspires his fans every day, whether it is to tattoo his lyrics on their bodies or to download his songs. Machine Gun Kelly is an artist who can turn his rough-and-tumble life story into beautiful art.

Aubrey Graham, or Drake is an iconic rapper who’s a household name across the US, Canada, and Great Britain. His debut rap album Take Care, topped charts, and riled competitors of all genres. With album sales declining 150% in the last 10 years (due to new forms of music downloaders), he still managed to make a big impact on by selling 650,000 units in the first week alone. Drake, with any rapper, has a certain flow. The song, “Forever” was his first super feature, which is basically a single that went mainstream within the same month it came out. In it, he showcased his talent to captive an audience with a catchy and meaningful chorus. Not all his songs sound the same though; sometimes he mixes it up a bit and adds a little R&B to his music to appeal to a different crowd. A good example of this is a song in the album Take Care called, “Take care”. He collaborates with Rihanna to make what is believed to be one of the most influential songs of 2011. Drake’s confidence is contagious; his song, “Tuscan Leather” catches this side by utilizing catchy lyrics to relay his tone. Billboard.com wrote. "This is nothing for the radio/ But they'll still play it though/ Cuz it's the new Drizzy Drake, that's just the way it go... I reached a point where don't **** matter to me ni--a," “drake protrays his confidence in his lyric, especially when he states “This is nothing for the radio, but they’ll still play it though/ cuz it’s the new Drizzy, Drake”. His famous quote, which was first heard in an interview in 2010; “You only live once that’s the motto” has been the main theme for one of his most notoriously used quotes in history. Drake has been a unique addition to the world of music, whether you’re mesmerized by his lyrics, or fascinated at his unique talent. One things for sure,, you haven’t heard anyone like him.

Most people would say last year was the year of Justin Timberlake. "The 20/20 Experience album was the biggest selling album of 2013," says Rollings Stone. Also according to Rolling Stone, "the 20/20 Experience was the only album to sell over 2 million copies!" Even though Justin was declining sales, he certainly came back with a big bang. People are starting to call him the new king of pop. I surely definitely can agree with that. Justin's music sort of ranges in between R&B and Pop. For an example my all time favorite song on that album was Mirror. That song would be classified as R&B. Then there was another really great song called Suit and Tie. That song is a little more up beat and would be classified as Pop. Now going back to my favorite song Mirror, there was a couple of lines that I really found to be memorable." It like your my mirror, my mirror staring back at me." I just love these lines because its talking about how him and his significant other are one and the same, so its as if hes starring into the mirror. I find that to be extemely adorable and i bet a lot of other ladies can agree with me on that. Most of Justins music is so heart warming and the others just want to make you get up and dance. His voice can make a girl want to melt. To me Justin Timberlakes songs are sort of like Jesse Mccartney. His music also sort of range from R&B and Pop. Overall no body can say Justin Timberlakes music sucks. He just one of those guys that everyone enjoys listening to. I certainly think its worth the time and money to listen to his music. He has the voice, good music, and the look that everyone will enjoy. I really do love him!

Tupac Shakur was born in New York City in 1971known by his stage name 2Pac, was an American rapper. Shakur has sold more than 75 million albums worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists in the world. Most of Tupac's songs are about growing up with violence and hardship in ghettos, racism, other social problems and conflicts with other rappers during the East Coast-West Coast hip hop rivalry. 2pac was shot and killed in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 1996. "Changes" is one of Tupac’s most famous songs. He compromises his more dominant bad-boy gangster side to tackle African American social issues in this magnificently brilliant song. In the first couple lines of the song Tupac raps "I'm tired of bein' poor and even worse I'm black, my stomach hurts, so I'm lookin' for a purse to snatch," these lines illustrate how many black people in America live in poverty and are not given as many opportunities to do right so instead they divert to being criminals just to get by. This concept is repeated when he raps "Give the crack to the kids who the hell cares? One less hungry mouth on the welfare." Tupac repeats throughout the song that he sees no changes and truly want to see his people rise and make changes to benefit them. Half way through the song he gives an inspirational speech over the beat, "It's time for us as a people to start makin' some changes. Let's change the way we eat, let's change the way we live and let's change the way we treat each other. You see the old way wasn't working so it's on us to do what we gotta do, to survive." When African Americans had no one trying to inspire them to rise and take a stand, Tupac tried to rise to the occasion and be an unelected leader for his people. Just like Martin Luther King Jr , Tupac tried to inspire his people and just like Martin Luther King Jr, Tupac was tragically gunned down. For me that’s an important example of how hard was life for those guys in the late ‘90 . I personally like him for his words and ideas and I wanted to share with you the emotions that every time this amazing rapper give to me.

The type of music I reviewed is hip hop and the name of the artist is Rick Ross .He was born in 1976 in Mississippi. His first album was first released in 2006.Before he was a musician, he was a correctional officer in Miami, Florida. On September 5, 2013, Ross premiered the first official single from Master Mind, "No Games" produced by the Justice League. The album cover is called Master Mind released in 2014. When I listened to the album, the emotion it evokes seems like their angry and frustrated. Compared to Nelly, it is very similar to the beat and the words that he uses. In contrast, the music is very different from country music such as Toby Keith. Country music can be sadder in their music than hip hop and hip hop is less sad and with a better beat. A few of the lyrics that are particularly memorable: “Diamonds are forever, no matter who wants them.” These lyrics stand out to me because everyone likes diamonds and many people strive for wealth. I agree with the critics of what they say about Rick Ross. According to Rolling Stone, this album is an improvement from the previous album because he rhymes better than he did before. “Deeper into the album, however, Ross demonstrates the sort of power a mastermind should possess” (Rolling Stone). The reviews are good with the music he does and additionally, Kaney West sings on the album. My overall opinion of the album Master Mind is that it is worth our time and money. The music will help people relax and enjoy life. Hearing his music will take you on a different journey every time you play the album. I would highly recommend purchasing the album for hours of fun and music with friends. Especially listening to the album in your car is highly enjoyable to others and friends.

Long live A$ap! Is a amazing album that I’ve been listing to since it came it out Jan. 15 by A$ap Rocky. The reason I like Rocky so much is because like most rappers he started from the bottom just a kid living in New York uploading videos on YouTube trying to make his. As you know rocky is rapper and his newest album that has come out was long live a$ap and I love the whole album but my two favorites have to be **** problem witch rocky features with drake, 2 chainz and Kendrick lamar and he just kills the song all four of them do but rocky starts the song off with a bang when his first line is heard you just know it’s going to be great! My second favorite song for that album has got to be wild for the night this song just changes the whole game of rocky because he’s adding a whole new flare to this by bringing in skrillex and adding that dustep swagger into his rape game and showed because everyone was listing to it from in your car to working out to just chilling it was song you could listen to anytime of the day. And to the critics of rocky are saying that he’s staying to old school and reaching out into more of different futuristic ways of music but I disagree I believe he is branching out perfect because he’s doing old school, new school, and in-between he does a great mix-up of all genres of rap. And now I bet your wondering is it worth purchasing? And I would tell you if you like rap then this is a must buy and you will love it and I would also tell you to go out and listen to his other albums and singles.

She is the most talked about artist in the media today coming out with her hit album Bangerz. This album is Miley’s fourth studio album released on October 4, 2013. The record debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 270,000 copies. Bangerz is a pop album with a touch of hip hop and country. Bangerz album influences came from a down side in her life, with her rocky relationship with ex fiancĂ© Liam Hemsworth. The songs “Adore you” and “Someone else” is the most memorable songs from her album. The two songs are putting out her emotions and how she feels about her ex and their breakup. Miley’s album Bangerz is compared a lot to Katy Perry’s album Prism because both artist’s albums were at the top of the charts. Both albums also had a pop sound to it with a hip hop flare. If going back to Miley’s Can’t be Tamed album back in 2010 to her Bangerz album now there is a huge transformation in her sound as well as lyrics. Her song “Stay” on Can’t be Tamed album has a country sound to it as “Love Money Party” on Bangerz album has that hip hop flavor incorporated. In a 2013 article posted by Jason wrote "Wrecking Ball is a blunt, bruising breakup song she immediately understands how to handle”. I definitely agree with what was said because the song is very blunt she came out and told through her lyrics how she felt and made millions from it. Overall I feel as if Miley’s album and just music in general is all very well worth it. Maybe it’s just how I feel but I would definitely spend the money on her music. Miley Cyrus is a talented artist one who can change up her music and still sound amazing; she’s a wonderful singer and performer. Miley had a concert that was held in Saint Paul that I missed due to the day it was on (a Monday night). But if she ever comes back trust me I will be there supporting her and her music!

The double platinum award winning artist Rihanna sings a variety of genres like r&b, pop, rap, and etc. Rihanna was last promoting her 7th album unapologetic (mainly pop)which hit the billboard hot 200 and sold over 238,000 copies in its first week. It became Rihanna's first number one album on the chart and best-selling debut week of her career. The album also became the singer's third, fourth and fifth consecutive number one album in the United Kingdom, Norway and Switzerland. As of May 2013, Unapologetic has sold over three million copies worldwide. It also won a Grammy Award for Best Urban Contemporary Album at the 2014 ceremony. The album really gives you a feel of love and pain by her lyrics and sometimes the tone changes in her voice / music when she is singing from happy to angry. When I hear a gunshot go off in one of her songs it makes me wonder why she chose that type of violence to portray in her music. The emotions that are evoked in each and every album is clear and sometimes just by the album name like unapologetic which came out around the time Chris brown physically abused her so we just know that it is about true love and the betray she feels. Then in the album good girl gone bad is just filled with the delinquent and naughty type of feel because she kinda shows her innocence in one lyric than switches off to a very bad girl type of lyric by the tone of her voice. I can honestly compare her to drake but the male version because he shows his soft side in his music and it just seems like he would know how to treat a girl right. Sometimes he talks about a female hurting him in some type of way emotionally which than brings out the pain and then switches off to an angry side and says things like he wouldn’t need her and etc. Rihanna and Niki Minaj are probably two different types of singers because Niki’s songs are mostly rap and hyped. It’s the type to party to and not listen to after a break up. The song birthday cake which Chris brown also sings in collaboration with Rihanna is very memorable because it is so inappropriate and talks about what they would pretty much do to each other and a major reason it’s very memorable is because after the physical altercation between the 2 they were able to come up with something like this which is just mind blowing after what they went through. Another memorable song would have to be Disturbia because it’s creepy and disturbing and her ex Chris brown wrote the song for her. She also performed this song to open the 2008 MTV video music awards. I agree with the other critics opinions because they believe she is as fabulous as her music. Overall I believe she is worth the money because each and every one of her albums shows different emotions and if you’re feeling a certain way you can get one of her CDs to relate which is always nice because people nowadays relate through the music and feel like we aren’t the only ones going through something like a heart break.
