Aubrey Graham, or Drake is an iconic rapper who’s a household name across the US, Canada, and Great Britain. His debut rap album Take Care, topped charts, and riled competitors of all genres. With album sales declining 150% in the last 10 years (due to new forms of music downloaders), he still managed to make a big impact on by selling 650,000 units in the first week alone. Drake, with any rapper, has a certain flow. The song, “Forever” was his first super feature, which is basically a single that went mainstream within the same month it came out. In it, he showcased his talent to captive an audience with a catchy and meaningful chorus. Not all his songs sound the same though; sometimes he mixes it up a bit and adds a little R&B to his music to appeal to a different crowd. A good example of this is a song in the album Take Care called, “Take care”. He collaborates with Rihanna to make what is believed to be one of the most influential songs of 2011. Drake’s confidence is contagious; his song, “Tuscan Leather” catches this side by utilizing catchy lyrics to relay his tone. Billboard.com wrote. "This is nothing for the radio/ But they'll still play it though/ Cuz it's the new Drizzy Drake, that's just the way it go... I reached a point where don't **** matter to me ni--a," “drake protrays his confidence in his lyric, especially when he states “This is nothing for the radio, but they’ll still play it though/ cuz it’s the new Drizzy, Drake”. His famous quote, which was first heard in an interview in 2010; “You only live once that’s the motto” has been the main theme for one of his most notoriously used quotes in history. Drake has been a unique addition to the world of music, whether you’re mesmerized by his lyrics, or fascinated at his unique talent. One things for sure,, you haven’t heard anyone like him.
