When the mob has a problem with people today; they simply take them out but in 2074 the mob has different ways of dealing with their assorted “pains”. In the future the mafia subdues their target then sends them back 30 years or so where a hit man is calmly waiting to pull the trigger. Joe, one of those hit men lives in this cycle till one day the mob sends back a strange person: Joe himself. Now Joe must keep himself alive as the mob closes in after him. It is Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s stunning role as Joe that really sells this movie; additionally his co-star Bruce Willis who plays the older Joe that helps move it along. Joe is a serious character like most of the roles set in this 120 minute masterpiece and is very quiet and seems to be boiling with an undertone of rage. Themes in the movie include be careful what you do now as It might come back to affect you later; whether you know it or not. Certainly though the critics don’t know what will affect them as they poke around with lesser rating of seven to eight. Personally, I found this movie to be a ten, its engrossing story line and next level special effects really help earn such an exalted retrospect of this cinema. In an overall point, I found the movie, The Looper, to be a one of a kind masterpiece and would thoroughly recommend such an outstanding movie to regular movie goers and even the people who seem to have a fear of the dark. It is such an action intense movie with a clinching story line to boot. If you haven’t picked up my message yet, go see this beauty and see for yourself how to not get caught in a loop.

Blind Side: The Blind Side came out in 2009. There are very famous actors in this movie such as Sandra Bullock, Tim McGraw and Oscar winning Kathy Bates. The “Blind Side” is based off of a true story from the Tuohy family in Memphis, Tennessee. Michael Oher even played himself in the movie. He was brought into their family because he was homeless due to his mother and father. The Tuohy’s were kind enough to open their arms and household up to Michael. At first they were hesitant on this decision. This was both life changing for Michael and the Tuohy’s. Everyone doubted what Michael potential and life would become when they first met him. Everyone tried to do everything that they could to make his life better once they met him and saw how good of a child he actually is. Everyone realized how good of an athlete he is and his size also made this him even better. The only problem that they had was having him so far behind in school from before he was brought into the family which was a huge struggle for them, but both the Tuohy’s and Michael were determined to make whatever they could possible so they put in every effort possible that they could to help him succeed. Michael came through with everything that he ever tried. He is a very inspiring person! Whatever he put his head to he did. He eventually went on to playing for the NFL. His family couldn’t of been more happy for him. This movie is very life changing because it makes you feel like if he went through all of those troubles in his past that you can have the strength to get through yours too. The Movie a 4 out of 5 stars from the movie critics.

In the movie Transporter, Ex-Special Forces Frank Martin, played by Jason Statham, is retired and is now living near the French Mediterranean who works as a mercenary or “transporter” that moves items from one place to another, no matter what the package with no questions asked. In his tricked out BMW, Frank has made up his own rules that he never breaks. Rule 1-Never change the deal, Rule 2-No names. Frank refuses to know who he's working for, or what he's transporting so that it will not come back and bite him in the butt. Rule 3-never look in the package. Frank then gets a job that seems no different from any of the rest of them. He's been hired by an American known only as "Wall Street" to make a delivery; but when Frank stops on the side of the street, he notices his package is moving. Frank broke his rule 3 and found something he was not expecting. Jason Statham does a really good job in any movie that has to do with driving. Many people recognize him from the movies Expendables or Death Race. He has the usual tough guy look in the movie and portrays Frank nearly perfect. The character Lai is played by Qi Shu, who has a quiet role for most of the movie but in the end she opens up and shows her troubled side. Frank is the type of guy that will do anything it takes to get the job done, it doesn’t matter if it’s from flipping a car, to shooting a guy, he will do it. The critics are saying that Transporter is going to being the beginning of a great series and will be an all-time favorite. Transporter is a great movie for anyone in the family.

Another movie that I have chosen to write about is The Town. This is a movie about a man, Doug MacRay (Ben Affleck) who is a Boston bank robber. Him and his friends rob banks and armored cars for a living and are really good at it. His friend, Jem (Jeremy Renner) is not only his partner in crime but is also like a brother to him. He is one of the most interesting characters because you never know what he is going to do next. He is very impulsive. During one of their robberies they take a hostage, Claire (Rebecca Hall) , who they let go. Later they follow her to see if she remembers them as being the ones who robbed her bank. Hall does a great job at portraying Claire, who falls in love with Doug and in the end tries to convince him to leave the dark side of crime and be with her. As Doug falls for Claire he is faced with the decision of quitting his life of crime to have a normal life with Claire or staying true to his bank robber “family”. The theme of this movie is about starting over after doing bad things in life. People deserve to have a second chance to make their lives better. I agree with most of the critics on that this movie was really well done by Ben Affleck. He finds creative ways to tell his story and the actors and actresses do a great job of portraying conflict and reality. I would recommend you see this movie if you like a good action thriller. The ending is especially good and non predictable so you must go see it.

James Cameron directed the movie, Titanic, a classic movie that is definitely character-driven. Kate Winslet plays Rose, the 17 year old rich girl who is on a ship with her mother, Ruth, played by Frances Fisher, and her fiancĂ©, Caledon, played by Billy Zane. Jack Dawson is played by Leonardo DiCaprio, who is a poor artist who happens to win third-class tickets for the ship. Rose denies affection from Jack in the beginning, but realizes that she does not want to marry her snobby fiancĂ©. Rose’s mother disapproves Jack because he isn’t rich, but that doesn’t stop her from being with him. Caledon finds out that the two have been meeting up and says that Jack is only using her for the money and tries to make everyone think that Jack is betraying Rose. The ship is known to be unsinkable, but when the ship slightly hits an iceberg, what is bound to happen, happens. Billy Zane portrays a great snobby, rich guy who thinks he is better than everyone else. His smirks and attitude makes him who he is. Frances Fisher also plays another snobby, rich person who does the exact same, and doesn’t care for the poor at all. Leonardo plays a helpless fellow who doesn’t care much for other people, but portrays great affection to the character, Rose. The theme of this movie to me is that money can’t buy happiness and love is a strong emotion. The audience can definitely see all the emotions going on in the movie and feel sympathetic. Janet Maslin said that in this world of short-attention spanned people, this movie pulls in everyone. She also says that it brings “mythic images” and that it is rare in movies. I also agree because Titanic is not only a great love story, but all the tragedy in it only makes the movie better. It is a great movie that I’m sure many if not everyone has seen, but I definitely spend my time watching it on television whenever it is showing.

The movie Joe Dirt is a movie about this guy named Joe who is on a journey to find his parents after they abandoned him one day on their family vacation to the Grand Canyon. To find his parents he goes on the radio to this rock station and everyday they have a session on air and he tells a portion of his life and this goes on for a long time. He hopes that one day someone out there listening to the radio will recognize his story and get him back to his parents and sister that he has been looking for. Along the way he goes through hell and back just to find them. He travels the country, meets tons of new people and works many odd jobs. Nobody respects him and he gets treated like dirt. Hence the name Joe Dirt. Joe eventually finds this girl named Bradi and she helps him find his parents but ends up lying to him about his parents in order to save him from being hurt. The movie has many good lessons in it and is a funny comedy film. It was one of my favorite movies as a kid and I continue to watch this movie now. I would suggest this movie to just about anybody accept kids under 10 years old, because it tends to be inapropriete at times. Joe is played by and actor named David Spade who is hilarious and I don’t think they could have picked a better actor for this movie part. In my opinion overall the movie Joe Dirt is a really good, funny, and entertaining movie. It is well worth the money it cost to go out and rent or buy it.

The movie Finding Nemo is a story about a little fish named Nemo who gets captured by divers and his dad Marlin goes on a huge adventure through the ocean and everywhere with another fish named Dora to find his son. All of the actors in the movie did a really good job portraying their characters and acting. Everything was spot on and pretty much perfect. The dad Marlin is an overprotective father who always has his eye on Nemo and when his son disappears he does everything in his power to get his son back. On his adventure he uses loving his son as motivation to get him back. At the same time that Marlin is looking for his son Nemo. Nemo is doing everything in his power to get back to his dad. And his motivation is getting back to his dad that he misses so much. There are a couple different moods and themes in the movie Finding Nemo. One theme is that a young fish will soon discover the dangers of undersea life. Another theme is a parent’s devotion to their child and love for their children. The movie Finding Nemo was a huge box office hit. I saw it when it first came out in theaters and many times after it was released to the public on DVD. There is a sequel to the first movie coming out in 2016 that I plan on going to see just because the first finding Nemo was so good I expect the 2nd to be just as good if not better. I would suggest the movie to anybody. It appeals to kids because it is in cartoon format and animated but it also appeals to adults because it has a couple good themes and leasons behind it.

Juno is a character driven film that follows the life of Juno MacGuff as she goes through the stages of pregnancy after an impulsive night with her best friend, Paulie Bleeker. “That aint no etch-a-sketch this one doodle that can’t be undid home skillet” says Rainn Wilson (from the office) when Juno is taking her pregnancy test. At first she resorts to a hasty abortion, but when she finds out that her baby has already developed finger nails she decides to go through with the pregnancy and give her baby up for adoption. She is then faced with the predicament of telling her parents that she is pregnant, but luckily she has two very supportive parents that are confident in Juno’s ability to make her own decisions. Juno decides to remain in high school throughout her pregnancy, despite the glares she receives from classmates. As her due date approaches she is forced to reassess her choices when she realizes that maybe the dream couple she picked for the adoption, isn’t so perfect after all. She also has to think about what her feelings for Bleeker are, and if there is more to their friendship than she cares to admit. There is a variety of different character personalities in Juno, Ellen page plays Juno, a smart mouthed sarcastic teen; while Olivia Thirlby plays Leah, Juno’s best girlfriend who helps her throughout the pregnancy. Michael Cera plays the part of Bleeker, an awkward long distance runner that starts as Juno’s best friend, and ends up as her baby daddy. Mac (J. K. Simmons), plays the role of Juno’s father, a hardworking man who truly believes in his daughter even when she doesn’t believe in herself. Juno I believe is very cute and witty comedy that may at first seem cavalier, but as you watch turns out to be very a very mature film with more sensitivity than you originally would think there would be. I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes a good laugh and a heartwarming story.

The movie Precious, came out in 2009 with a rating of 7.4 stars out of 10. The movie takes place in Harlem in 1987. Precious is a sixteen year old girl who’s actually name is Claireece Precious Jones. She is not the average person though, she is illiterate and very overweight. She is pregnant with her second child, which the father of her kids are actually her biological father. Her father has been raping Precious since she was a child. She then believes that she can change her future around by learning how to read and write. What happens in the end leaves Precious in a way better life. Precious is the main character in this movie, she is played by Gabourey Sidibe. Her character in the movie is an innocent black girl that can never seem to make the right decisions in life. The theme in this movie I would have to say would be to never give up on your dreams in life because anything can happen if you put your mind to it. I would have to say I agree with the critics on this one because they mostly all gave this movie at least four stars which is pretty good if you ask me. All of what they said was all good things about the movie like how it is heartbreaking and just over all an awesome movie. I would have to say this movie is for sure worth your time because the movie is not one of those boring movies to watch, it keep your attention throughout the entire movie. It is also worth buying as well because this is one of those movies that you could watch again and again and still be interested in it. Overall I give this movie an A+.

The movie, “Click” first came out in 2006 with a 6.5/10 rating. The movie is about Micheal Newman (Adam Sandler) who is a husband as well as a father. He was very annoyed with most of his life and was always wishing for events to speed up and want to redo bits and pieces of his life. One day he met a man named Morty (Christopher Walken) who shows him a new invention. This invention is able to pause, rewind and fast forward time; all in one controller, a remote. He was thrilled with this invention at first he was pretty skeptical about this remote. When he used it so much he ended up messing with his fate and ended up skipping forward most of his life. In the movie Michael was a very impatient person wanted things to happen to him in a figure snap. He wanted to enjoy life great opportunities but he didn’t want to wait for them. He finally realized that his life was supposed to be how fate intended it to be and not how he screwed up everything with a remote because he was to impatient to wait for minutes go by. His wife (Kate Beckinsale) was a very good wife she wanted to be with him forever but the life she was living with a very selfish man just wasn’t for her they ended up divorcing and was remarried to another man. She really wanted to try to make the marriage work but Michael would did not want to give up a minute of his time to anything other than work. Morty was a character that played a big role but it was very short in this film. He was representing to Michael as a magical human that could give the power of time travel. He also seemed like he knew that it was a bad choice for Michael and warned him. As if he knew what was going to happen all along. The theme of the movie was that you should live your life to the last minute and not want to wish for something to happen and to be patient with your life because you only get one. Good things will happen with time. People who see this movie might feel to appreciate a minute and the rest of your life more. Critics say this movie was filled with comedy and emotion gave it a perfect balance of laughs and tears. I would have to agree I laughed at parts when Michael first got the remote and it was very emotional at the end; over all a good movie to watch. Yes it’s worth your time, and money; I still watch it today even though it’s an older movie.

Daniel Craig better known as James Bond takes us through into an action filled movie. He has to chase a bad guy named Patrice that has stolen a computer hard drive that contains all the undercover agents that are in terrorist organizations. That’s something that M16 can’t let happen. James Bond is very motivated not to let that happen. It becomes a long chase as Bond and Patrice are fighting on top of a moving train. The commander for James Bond and the whole M16 is the lady Judi Dench. Judi is called M in the movie. She is the head of M16 and the one that calls the shots. So she tells her other agent, Naomie Harris to take a shot that is not clean because they are still fighting on top of the moving train. It’s a bad shot but M still commands Harris to take the shot. Naomie takes the shot and ends up taking out the wrong person as Patrice escapes. In the movie, Naomie Harris is like James Bonds’s partner so she works closely with him. Daniel Craig has made a lot of these action packed and suspenseful movies. This is the twenty-third James Bond film. I think he is one of the best actors of the century. For Judi Dench, this is here seventh appearance in the James Bond series. Also as she says this is her last appearance. I think this is because she is getting very old. In the movie she gets criticized for the way she runs M16. Some people want her just to retire before she messes up more. I think the theme of the story is that the young generation runs should run things from now on. I agree with what they graded the movie. An A or B is about right for this movie. It is very long and enjoyable movie to watch. I would recommend it to anybody that hasn’t seen it yet. It is worth your money and time.

Wow, I have to say the movie Rooftop Prince is a lot different from other movies out there; it is just fabulous and unpredictable. The story is quite distinct and it is a time travel drama and that is also involved reincarnation. The story start with the murder scene result with the death of the princess, the prince Yi Gak (played by Park Yoo Chun) who lose his beloved wife and is determined to seek the murderer and find out the truth, but the moment that the prince is targeted by a group of cunning people. He and his warriors are push into the future-2012. They reappear in the female lead’s house Bak Ha (played by Han Ji Min) and they realize that it is 300 years different in time frame. Together they come into conclusion that there must be something related to the death of the princess. Tae Young is in coma in Paris after he was attack by his cousin, and that is how the prince comes to play his part in Korea-Seoul 2012. Park Yoon Chun is an excellent actor who plays as yi Gak/Tae young, he displays the emotion really well, with his two different character’s performance, he makes the audiences believe that they are a totally different individual. Han Ji min the female main character, she is just amazing nice and her performance is great as well. Han Ji min who is Bak ha in the movie, she is Hardworking, kind and thoughtful. The part that really annoying me is she is really gullible, gives her time and kindness to those don’t deserve it. Park Yoo Chun, his intelligence, determination and motivation lead the whole story to the climate. The theme in the movie is fate or love will lead where you are. I really agree with the critic Jartheblackjack say that “I love how this show is really different from other movies out there. This show really made me go wild on emotions. It made me SOOOO …. ANGRY. And made me Really really Happy~~, As well as made me really REALLY SAD.” The movie can make you cry, laugh and sad. It just an absolutely and fantastic movie that is worth your time and money. Overall I give it 10/10, and I will recommend it to everyone. I just love it.

Elf is one of the greatest Christmas movies of all time. There is not a Christmas movie that has just as much comedy as this one. The story starts off with Santa accidentally taking a human child with him back to the North Pole. Not knowing what to do, an elder elf stepped up and decided to raise Buddy as if he were an actual elf. Eventually as Buddy gets older, he finally realizes that he is not actually an elf, and decides that he wants to go meet his real father. His father lives in New York, and sadly he is on the naughty list. The movie continues to follow Buddy as he tries to meet the approval of his father and save Christmas at the same time. The main star in this movie is Will Ferrell. He is a great comedic actor starring in big movies such as Old School, and Anchorman. He didn’t let up on his hilarious comedy in this movie either. He is nothing but hilarious. All the characters in this movie are great. Buddy of course is the main character and is hilarious throughout the movie, always being happy, and not quite knowing what is going on in the real world. The main theme in this movie, I believe is, that one should always chase their dreams. Buddy goes through many troubles to get to know his father, but he never gives up hope. Critics of this movie say that it is not that funny and the humor could be improved. I completely disagree with this statement because the movie had me laughing from start to finish. If you are someone who has not seen this movie you need to get to a DVD rental as soon as possible. It is definitely worth it.

In the movie The Bourne Legacy, the fourth installment of the highly successful Bourne series, the film sidelines the usual main character Jason Bourne, and instead turns its attention to another fellow assassin. Aaron Cross is a member of Operation Outcome, a U.S. Defense Department program where field operative’s abilities are enhanced through the consumption of pills called "chems". In the beginning of the movie, after escaping an unmanned drone attack while on a training mission in Alaska, Cross realizes that his superiors have ordered his assassination. Cross still requires regular consumption of the chems, and must save, and work together with the only survivor of the elimination of Outcome's private research lab, geneticist Dr. Marta Shearing. The two must go to the factory that produces the pills, and after the factory's security staff are notified, Cross and Shearing manage make a quite exciting escape. An order to kill the two after this leads them to try and escape the pursuit of their enemies. Matt Damon played the leading role in the first three Bourne movies tremendously, but Jeremy Renner, who plays Aaron Cross, also brings that brand of intensity to the role of a killing machine. The Bourne Legacy has many Christian themes seen throughout the movie. Common dialogue in the film contains both the words God, and pray. Some say the roll of Cross in the movie even represents an avenging angel sent to protect Dr. Marta Shearing. In one seen, Cross even looks like he is running across the water. And remember that his name is also “Cross”. It is also always seen in the Bourne movies, a man sent to unveil the corrupted evil, and to do what is right, despite the fact that he is being hunted by what is supposed to be society’s “good guys”. Critics say that the movie is unclear, and no details are invested in or developed. But this is the fourth installment in a movie franchise. To better understand the movie, you must gain background knowledge and watch the first three movies. I believe that this movie was one of the most intense movies I’ve watched, but the experience is different for a person who does not fully understand the plot and previous events in other movies that have triggered the events seen in The Bourne Legacy.

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is by far and away my favorite movie. It’s a light hearted comedy from 1986 but it’s one of those movies that no matter how many times you watch it, it never gets old. The main character Ferris (Matthew Broderick) is a high school senior who fakes an illness to take his girlfriend Sloane (Mia Sara) and his best friend Cameron (Alan Ruck) on a day trip to Chicago. He manages to talk Cameron into taking his Dad’s prized possession, a restored, red 1961 Ferrari GT California. The car is a major cause of self-esteem loss for Cameron, as his dad loves the car more than him. The whole trip is meant to get Cameron some self-esteem. In Chicago the teens see an art museum, eat lunch at the Gold Coast, watch a parade in which Ferris jumps onto a float and performs “Twist and Shout” while the marching band backs him up. They even catch a Cubs game at Wrigley Field. Then at the top of the Sears tower the talk becomes deeper, and Ferris gives us his main theme, “Life goes by so fast, that if you don’t stop and look around, you might miss it.” While all of this is happening his sister and his dim-witted principal are trying to catch him in the act of skipping school. The principal has a horrible day and the things that happen to him are rather funny. He gets beaten up by the day’s events, and Ferris and his friends never get caught. If you haven’t seen this movie, you’re missing out. This is one of the best movies ever. It’s funny, it’s smart, and who doesn’t need a day off? This is a film everyone can enjoy, whether you’re young or old, it’s just a fun movie.

“Elf” is a 2003 Christmas film about an Elf, “Buddy” (Will Ferrell) who accidentally is taken to the North Pole by Santa when he is just a baby. He is then raised as an elf, but grows to be three times the size of other elves, and sets out to find his real family in New York City. His father is Walter Cobb (James Caan), a NYC publisher. He obviously starts out not believing that Buddy is actually his son, and sends him on his way multiple times when they first meet. Finally he comes home with them and causes havoc in their house, and develops in NYC while working with Santa on Christmas as well. This movie is a hilarious comedy with an interesting plot and a great cast, making the movie a 9/10 for me. It has an awesome feeling that puts you in the Christmas spirit throughout the entire movie. If you like Will Ferrell in other movies, or perhaps on Saturday Night Live, you would like him in this as he is his goofy self, bringing comedy to any scene he’s in. A review states “the supporting cast was nearly perfect” which I strongly agree with, as Zooey Deschanel being Buddy’s love and dumbing down his crazy enthusiasm about everything. I think the Buddy character may have been over the top and maybe annoying if it weren’t for his supporting cast including his father and half brother, along with Jovie (Deschanel). Another review gave it only three out of five stars , stating “it's barely more than a string of sketches held together by a conventional plot.” I disagree as it was held together by more than Will Ferrell’s comedic acting. The plot of saving Christmas and an elf becoming a human (something I and many others haven’t necessarily seen anywhere else) makes for a more interesting movie than sketches edited together. They aren’t just different sketches put together to make a movie with a weak plot. It all comes together in the end, anyway!

The movie Taken is about an ex-CIA agent Bryan Mills who lives in California to be with his daughter Kim. Kim is his pride and joy, she lives with her mother and step dad. Kim wants to go on a trip with her friend abroad to Paris, France. Bryan Mills is reluctant at 1st to give his permission but eventually gives his approval. He just one rule that she takes an cell phone and contacts him on a daily basis. When the two girls arrive in Paris they meet a stranger and share a cab ride to their hotel together. Kim’s friend decided to tell the man they are tourists and want to meet new people. Moments later a gang of kidnapers bust open the door and kidnap them both. Before Kim got kidnaped she managed to have one phone call with her father, but the kidnapers intercepted the call. Bryan Mills has a short but powerful conversation with one of the kidnapers he says, “I don’t know who you are, but if you don’t let my daughter free I will find you ,and I will kill you”. The next that he does is get on a flight directly to Paris to find Kim. Mills is a former CIA agent and has a acquired many skills during his career, He learned skill that he calls, “Special skills that are a nightmare for people like you”. Watch the full movie to find out what happens next in this action packed movie. Bryan Mills is played by Liam Nesson. he is the main character in the movie. My I think he did a great job of acting throughout the movie. Critics also believe that he had a superb performance. IMDB rates Liam Nesson’s performance 8.5 out of 10. The main theme in the film is revenge. Mills sets out to get revenge for his daughters kidnaping. My overall opinion on the film is 7 out of 10 its a good film. I refer you to watch if you enjoy action movies.

Notorious is the story of Christopher Wallace, also known as The Notorious BIG. This movie tells the story of Notorious’s life from when he was a kid all the way to his death. The story shows how he was a young drug dealer, and all the struggles he went through in his life waiting for his rap career to take off. This major role of Notorious was briefly played by his own son Christopher Jordan Wallace during the younger years in the movie, but he was mostly played by Jamal Woolard. Jamal was perfect for this role because he had great acting, and a striking resemblance to Biggy himself. The characters in this movie are all real people in the world, portrayed through actors. Sean Combs is Biggy’s manager and is trying really hard to be a successful one. Also Biggy has a bunch of friends who are by his side the whole film. They are all working together to try and get Biggy to be a success in his rap game so they can all get off the streets. This movie tells a great story and shows that no matter how hard life gets you can never give up on your dreams. According to the Chicago Sun Times, Notorious is one of the better documentaries on Chris Wallace’s life. Notorious tells the story of Biggy from when he was a little kid to when he was all grown up. While other documentaries mainly just focus on what he was doing years just prior to his death. The critics gave this movie 6.4 stars out of a possible 10 stars. I think that this movie deserved at least 8 stars because it was such a motivational film. Overall, I think this movie was really good and if you are interested in music I would strongly advise seeing it.

A guy named Tom Hanson is in love with a girl but she is in love with someone else. Eventually, Tom finds out about this romance. The girl, Summer Finn has been leading him on for 500 days. Hence the name, 500 Days of Summer. The movie shows the relationship between these two characters. It is shown from the character Tom Hanson’s perspective. Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt was perfection. As an actor, he can make the audience feel any emotion he wants to portray. You feel sorry for him when he doesn’t get his soul mate, Summer. His co-star, Zooey Deschanel was equally as fantastic. Her performance as Summer Finn really made you hate her as a person. You are angered with her when she starts a new relationship out of the blue. The biggest motivation that Tom Hanson seems to have is love. He is so caught up on winning his “soul mate”. He forgets what went wrong in the relationship. Summer Finn doesn’t really have a motivation. She is trying to figure out her life. In that process she seems to forget about Tom Hanson. The main theme of the movie is that relationships don’t always work out. No matter how much Tom tries to think about what went wrong-nothing is going to change. I agree with the critic. He refers to Summer Finn as “capricious, alluring, and not entirely knowable.”(Gleiberman) Not only that, but he agrees with most of my opinions about the movie. I love this movie. Not only does it have the best actors (Joesph Gordon-Levitt), but it has an amazing soundtrack. The film has such a different style than most movies. I would recommend this film to anyone who wants to see something unexpected.

The movie Pulp Fiction was directed by Quentin Tarantino in 1994. The movie is an urban tale that follows several characters and their lives as they soon become intertwined. Pulp Fiction is very unique in the fact that if you watched the movie scene by scene and you wanted it to make sense from the beginning you would have to watch it from the middle to the beginning and then back to the last couple of scenes. The movie goes from the lives of a boxer, two mob hit men and a gangster and his wife. Bruce Willis who plays the boxer, fits the character very well in the sense that he plays the tough hero very well. The two mob hit men are played by John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson. In the movie they are killers who work for the head of the “Gang” and take care of anyone who owes debt to the gang. Travolta and Jackson fit the character well especially Jackson who has some impressive monologues in the movie, they both are somewhat reckless and not afraid to pull the trigger on anyone. The gangster is played by Ving Rhames , and his wife his played by Uma Thurman. Rhames makes his character seem to real that’s how well he plays it; a ruthless and vengeful gangster who runs his organization with power and the respect of anyone who he deals with. In my opinion Uma Thurman’s performance is the weakest of the cast. She plays a mysterious woman who is Rhames wife but she comes off as strange and off the wall. I agree with Roger Ebert’s review of this movie, where he goes along the lines to say that the movie is very original and the screenplay is very well written. In my opinion I think everyone that can handle this movie should go watch it. You can watch it ten times and you will see something you didn’t see the last time its that visually striking, its one of the most unique movies I have personally ever seen.

A few months back, my brother convinced me to watch the movie Snatch; directed in a hyper realistic fashion by Guy Ritchie –Madonna’s Husband-. I actually ended up watching two more times because I couldn’t believe for one how fast the story took a turn, and second the way the characters behaved. Snatch, is a movie about a really HUGE diamond that gets stolen by Frankie four fingers –a thief that has a gambling addiction- and he brings it to London. As soon as he arrives the news of the massive diamond circulates through the worlds of bookies, bare-knuckle boxers, near immortal Russian’s, and Pikey’s. “Is that a Pikey campsite? I hate Pikeys.” (Tommy) The movie is an extraordinary wed of events that at first glance seem loosely connected through psychotic and often quite violent characters that inhabit that world. After the diamond is brought to London, the unknown forces that run London start to clash behind closed doors in order to gain control of the said diamond. Boris the bullet dodger, and ex-KGB operative who as legend would have it couldn’t die, and Brick Top; “you’ll owe him for life,” and Turkish –the unofficial main character of this movie. And last but certainly not least; Bullet- Tooth Tony – he can supposedly be shot and it wouldn’t harm him This bang-bang comedic thriller is played to perfection by an All-Star Cast starting: Jason Statham –Turkish-, Brad Pitt –the Pikey that somehow ends up having to fight for Turkish and Tommy, albeit and how they wanted. Benicio Del Toro plays Frankie Four Fingers, and rounding out the cast are Dennis Farina, and Vinnie Jones. That list actors may or may not be have been the final piece of information you needed to go to your Netflix account and watch this movie this instant, if you don’t have Netflix… well this isn’t for you now is it? I really don’t wanna have to tell you anything because for all the memorable moments in the movie, it is really short lived. You may be groaning about how dumb it’s gonna be but somewhere along the road of; Man eating pigs, silly fat bastards, the true meaning of “Proper xxx,” and why you should never mess with Pikey’s…you may actually catch yourself enjoying what deserves to be an amazing film.
