The movie Pulp Fiction was directed by Quentin Tarantino in 1994. The movie is an urban tale that follows several characters and their lives as they soon become intertwined. Pulp Fiction is very unique in the fact that if you watched the movie scene by scene and you wanted it to make sense from the beginning you would have to watch it from the middle to the beginning and then back to the last couple of scenes. The movie goes from the lives of a boxer, two mob hit men and a gangster and his wife. Bruce Willis who plays the boxer, fits the character very well in the sense that he plays the tough hero very well. The two mob hit men are played by John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson. In the movie they are killers who work for the head of the “Gang” and take care of anyone who owes debt to the gang. Travolta and Jackson fit the character well especially Jackson who has some impressive monologues in the movie, they both are somewhat reckless and not afraid to pull the trigger on anyone. The gangster is played by Ving Rhames , and his wife his played by Uma Thurman. Rhames makes his character seem to real that’s how well he plays it; a ruthless and vengeful gangster who runs his organization with power and the respect of anyone who he deals with. In my opinion Uma Thurman’s performance is the weakest of the cast. She plays a mysterious woman who is Rhames wife but she comes off as strange and off the wall. I agree with Roger Ebert’s review of this movie, where he goes along the lines to say that the movie is very original and the screenplay is very well written. In my opinion I think everyone that can handle this movie should go watch it. You can watch it ten times and you will see something you didn’t see the last time its that visually striking, its one of the most unique movies I have personally ever seen.
