Carrie Underwood, who grew up in Checotah, Oklahoma, is a country singer and was the first country singer to win American Idol. Even though she only sings country, her voice has a wide range of sounds and can sound like a pop singer or sometimes even a rock singer. Carrie Underwood can sing very softly and pretty sounding, but she can also belt out her songs and hit every note. Her voice is very strong and powerful. Her songs have many feelings in them, mostly about relationships and love. A lot of her songs are somewhat sad, but the lyrics say to be strong and get what you deserve. Her songs seem to be a lot about being an independent woman. However, some of her songs are just about kicking back and having fun. I can’t see Carrie Underwood ever singing hip hop or rap, but she’s definitely one of the best country artists. I like that she sings about her own past experiences and feelings, which can make her very relatable and likeable. I’m sure young girls probably look up to her. I think her singing about her own life is much more preferable to people like Lil’ Wayne or Nicki Minaj, who sing more about the fancy life and just what the listeners would want to hear. Carrie’s songs are very heartfelt, much like other country bands and artists, such as Dierks Bentley or Taylor Swift. I really like one of Carrie Underwood’s new songs, “Good Girl.” The song is very upbeat and catchy, and you almost automatically memorize the lyrics. The song is about past relationships. In her song, “Good Girl,” I like this section of lyrics: “His lips are dripping honey
But he’ll sting you like a bee So lock up all your love and Go and throw away the key.” I like them because it shows that you can’t trust everyone you meet and sometimes, in the end, you will get hurt. The research I have seen on Carrie Underwood has only been good things, such as saying that she has become one of the biggest country-music artists in the world. I can’t say I don’t agree with that! I think Carrie Underwood is a great singer and I would definitely spend money buying tickets for her concerts or buying her songs online!
