Mac Miller is a 20-year-old rapper from Pittsburgh. The genre of his music is rap/ hip-hop. The feel of Mac Millers music is a free life. A lot of his music talks about how to make yourself happy. His songs explain his lifestyle he lives and what he does in certain situations. Mac Miller is unlike most rappers and doesn’t rap about violence. He raps about what goes on in his life and people that have changed him for the better. An artist Mac Miler is similar to is Wiz Khalifa. Wiz and Mac both are from Pittsburgh. They both rap about the good things in life, and have a positive attitude. One of his albums, Best Day Ever, gives out a message of what it was like going from a regular high school kid to a worldwide known rapper. “Ill Be
There” is a song Mac wrote about his mom. This song explains the day-to-day struggles they used to have but now they’re always they’re for each other. The song “I’m Ready” talks about how he’s ready for whatever the world throws at him. This song is upbeat and has positive attitude on life. I disagree with most of the critics. They say Mac Miller will never break through and move to the next level in hip-hop. Mac Miller is still only 20 and has time to learn and develop as a rapper. I agree with some of the critics and how they talk about his older music being better. I think his beats and lyrics are better on his old mix tapes compared to his new albums. Overall I think Mac Miller is a good artist and will develop as years go on. I think he is worth your time and money. His music is up beat with a positive attitude, which makes it worth listening too.
