The movie When a Stranger Calls is about Jill Johnson who is being forced to babysit at a big house all by herself. Then all of a sudden a stranger calls making these weird remarks over the home telephone. Jill decides to call the police to trace the call. She is freaked out when she finds out that the call is coming from inside the house! Jill runs in a hurry trying to get the children and leave. Do you think she will live? Camilla Belle was the main character, her role was the babysitter. She took so much risk in even answering the phone during the time of the stranger calling the home of the house she was babysitting at. The audience is supposed to take away from the movie is that you should call the police right away. Don’t just wait, because then it can be too late before something bad could happen. Another thing is to make sure all the doors are locked within the house. She was babysitting a big house; you need to make sure that all of them are locked so there is no way for them to get in. Another one is to make sure you know the people you are babysitting. That way you have more trust in them and their kids. Most of the critics say that the movie isn’t very good at all. They said that the movie was terrible because the ending of the movie was given away. My opinion on the movie When a Stranger Calls is that I really liked it because there was a lot of suspense that took place. Another reason why I liked it is because it was intense when she knew the stranger was in the house and kept calling her. You never knew where he was going to pop out of. I think it’s worth your money if you like movies with suspense, otherwise it’s not worth it.
