As stated in the New York time’s movie reviews by A. O. Scott, the movie “The Blind Side is made up of many turning points and yet curiously devoid of drama or suspense”. Also The Blind Side is based on the true of Michael Oher’s life. This movie is about a young man named Michael Oher and how he was taken into cusdedy by a wealthy family after they saw him in the streets alone. Michael was a very big fella and liked to play sports he played football and was perfect size he played a offensive linemen but he was not aggressive enough and was not good at protecting his quarterback untill one game he played there was a boy on the other team who was taunting him and kept getting by him and sacking the quarterback, Michael finally snapped into the game and realized what he had to do, he got angry at the boy on the other team and steamrolled him all the way down the field to the other side and dumbed him in the stands, after that play the boy stop taunting Michael. That is when Michael began to be aggressive and became a good part of his team. Some of the actors/actresses in the film are, Sandra bullock who plays Leigh Anne Tuohy and she does a good job convincing the audience how sweat and kind she is and does a good job play the role of the wealthy, kind mother of two kids that wants to adopt Michael and make him a part of the family; Quinton Aaron who plays Michael Oher a friendly giant that is how most people would describe him, Quinton does a great job showing the kind, scared and sad parts of Michael Oher’s life; Tim McGraw who plays Sean Tuohy, Tim does a good job playing the role of a wealthy guy with two kids that is kind hearted but is not sure if he wants a random kid off of the streets like Michael living in his house, but than his mind is changed because he is motivated by Michaels behavior and realizes how great of a person Michael is. In this story the theme is that don’t judge a person by the exterior apperiance get to know them more before you dislike them, which is what happened with Sean Tuohy and Michael Oher. As stated by Mark W, Melbourne in a review on the website movies.nytimes.com “In my opinion, an Oscar is not deserved for Bullock's performance, which does not represent any range of challenging acting in this movie” I strongly disagree with Mark because in my opinion this is a very challenging role to play and in my opinion no other accress would have done it better than Sandra did, she went out of her pay to get as emotional as she could get it seemed like it was actually her going through these problems in real life. I would definatly recommend this movie to whoever has not watched it, it will make you bite your nails while your crying and it will leave you wanting more.
