One of my favorite movies of all time is Scarface, written by Oliver Stone. It is the story of Antonio Montana or in the movie Tony Montana. He is a Cuban immigrant who just arrived in the beaches of Miami Florida with his best friend Manny Ribera, they are in a camp where all the Cuban immigrants are held and can’t leave, well Manny had a hook up and says they can leave but they have to kill a politician who also is in there so a big riot breaks out and they did it. They leave and start of their adventures there working at a little restaurant making little money when they see a man in a nice suit and say they want to be like that, So Manny like a lot gets the hook up and work for a man named Frank Diaz and drug lord and takes Manny and Tony to work for them. This is where there first drug deal happens and an important part of the movie was, when you see Tony true colors come out in the movie. You see Tony in an apartment with his friend and a woman lying on the bed and a man who wants to buy drugs, the man says he doesn’t have it and it is some were else, Tony gets mad and says that they will be leaving and that is when you see the woman and the man pull out shotguns and take Tony and his friend and are threatening to kill them if they don’t get the drugs. First of you see Tony watching his friend being cut with a chainsaw and when they ask again were the drugs are he spits in the man’s face, through the movie you see. Tony’s temper comes out a lot and ends up hurting him like he loses a sister, his mother hates what he does, and loses his best friend when he rises to the top. A quote In the movie I enjoyed and was ironic was when Frank was talking to Tony and says “Hey, Tony. Remember when I told you when you first started working for me, the guys that last in this business, are the guys who fly straight. Low-key, quiet. But the guys who want it all, chicas, champagne, flash... they don't last.” It was true Tony ignored the comment and ended up killing his boss Frank and takes over, it is a story of Greed, friendship, and the lust for power and to be the best, and to never trust anyone. Watch the movie to see how his life turns out and what the American dream is for Tony Montana.
