Denis talks about how Bob Marley really inspired him as a kid. After thinking about it for a while, I noticed that Bob Marley did also inspire me when I was a kid. I also remember listening to “Buffalo Soldier” in car rides with my father. I used to sit there and even though I didn’t understand exactly what the song meant, it relaxed me and made me thinking of things. I also remember that most of my father’s friends also really enjoyed Bob Marley. I believe most people enjoyed Bob Marley because he talked about the hardships. I think people would rather listen to other peoples struggles then listen to a song that talks about non-sense. I believe this is true because people can learn from other peoples struggle. In the song “Buffalo Soldier” Bob Marley talked about how the Africans were brought to America to fight. As an African-American I can listen to that song, and see what the Africans really went through. Denis also talked about the song called “3 little birds”. Growing up as a kid I called that song the “Don’t Worry” song. I really also enjoyed that song because the chorus. The chorus says to not worry about a thing because every little thing will be alright. I believe that is true because the more you worry about something the more problems there will be. If you just relax and not worry about every single thing, things will go great. I am not saying to not worry about everything, worrying about something can be very beneficial. I believe the people who never heard of Bob Marley, should really listen to his songs. Not only are his songs inspiring, but they have deep meaning. I would agree with Denis, that Bob Marley lived worry free and had a great life.
