Finding Nemo
The movie Finding Nemo is a character driven movie. In the beginning, two clown fish moved to a new anemone to start their new life as a family with lots of babies on the way. Next a barracuda came and ate Coral (the mom) and all the babies except one, Nemo. Nemo starts to attend school and ends up getting taken by divers from Australia. The movie goes on with the dad meeting Dory, who becomes his best friend, and the two of them going through all these adventures such as meeting sharks, a whale, and turtles to find Nemo. After traveling so far, when he finally reaches Sydney Australia, will it be too late to be reunited with Nemo? The voice of Marlin (the dad) was played by Albert Brooks, he did a wonderful job! I say this because he matched the emotions perfectly with his voice. Ellen DeGeneres’s bubbly personality was great for the character Dory. The high pitch tone of her voice matched Dory’s enthusiastic character. Nemo was very motivated, he was put through tough situations and handled them very well for a little guy. One example is, having to swim into the filter and jam it with a pebble. Marlin had a lot of perseverance for a clown fish, no matter how hard his life was at the time he never gave up because he knew finding Nemo would be worth it all. With that said, I think the main theme is to never give up, “just keep swimming.” I agree completely with the statement by Timothy Liam, “Finding Nemo is one of those movies where almost nothing is imperfect. The voice casting is delightful, the animation is exasperatingly brilliant, and the lovely storyline, about a clown fish named Marlin who loses his son Nemo after he is taken by divers, is just as brilliant, and while not wholly original, provides enough side stories to give the impression that it is completely new.” I still after seeing this movie many times I would pay to see it again!
