I couldn’t agree more with Melanie’s blog on Taylor Swift, a young talented country singer. I love how Taylor’s songs have a real life meaning behind them and I can relate the songs to my life as well. Taylor’s new album “Speak Now” has sold millions of copies in just the first week, and all her songs were written by her. Taylor does write all her own songs and I think that shows a lot about her and her character. I agree with Melanie that it takes a lot of talent to write all your own songs and have millions and millions of people like it. I also agree with Melanie that the song “Fifteen” is a very memorable song. The song talks about walking into high school for the first time, meeting new people, and the feelings you get while meeting new friends and seeing ones from middle school. Another memorable song for me is “Breathe,” this song has to do with one of her past relationships. “Breathe” is easy for any teenage girl to relate her high school experiences to and is a slow, calming melody. Taylor’s style is unique because it is all written by her, and many people of all ages enjoy it because it’s very easy to relate to her songs. I really enjoy listening to Taylor Swift because her music is more laid back but like Melanie said, it still has a little “pop” to it. Unlike Kesha or Pink, who have a faster speed that make you want to get up and dance. Taylor has sold millions of copies of her new album, so I agree that you wouldn’t be wasting your money if you bought one. Taylor Swift is a young talented country singer, whose music is easy for any girl to relater her problems to and overall life.
