Marley and Me is about a young couple named John and Jenny. They were in love, with a little house and not a care in the world. Then they bought home Marley, a yellow lab. Marley ended up growing into a ninety-seven pound dog, a dog like no other. He crashed through screen doors, through drywall, flung drool on guests, stole women’s undergarments, and ate nearly everything he could get his mouth around, including couches and jewelry. They tried taking him to obedience school but that didn’t do any good for Marley. Even though Marley wasn’t much of a disciplined dog, his love and loyalty made up for it. The two main actors in the movie are Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston. Owen (John) was the boyfriend. He was the one who really tried to get Marley more disciplined. Then there was Jennifer (Jenny) who was the girlfriend. She made sure that things were put back together after all the terrorizing that Marley did to the house. Owen and Jennifer loved their dog so much, but all they wanted was for him to be more disciplined. Throughout the movie the couple became closer together just because of Marley. The main theme in Marley and Me is that even the most annoying thing can be loved. There were times when John and Jenny didn’t like Marley, but in the end he meant more than anything to them. Critics say that Marley and Me was a great movie. When you have such a cute, loving dog that is was made the movie great. Without a dog just like Marley, it wouldn’t have been the same. I agree with the critics, it’s a very cute and funny movie. I think it’s worth your time and money because it shows you that even though something or someone is very annoying, they can be your best friend in the end,
