Little siblings can be annoying. They will drive a person nuts just because of the fact that they are bored. The movie Ramona and Beezus the middle child in the family named Ramona Quimby is a really big trouble maker. Ramona doesn’t really try to get in trouble; all she really does is be herself. Being the middle child makes things more difficult because she has to live up to her older sister Beezus; always getting straight A’s and making parents proud. She is also having a hard time being herself when all her family does is pay attention to the new baby Roberta. Dad just lost his job and mom has to work overtime while still trying to hold the household together. Ramona tries to help out with the whole money situation but everything she seems to causes trouble. The movie shows Ramona’s journey and all the adventures she tries to accomplish so that they won’t have to move out of town. Ramona is played by Joey King and Beezus is played by Disney start Selena Gomez. King did a great job of playing the roles of a little girl who couldn’t look more innocent, but make so much trouble. In the end, Ramona is really just trying to help. King reminds us of what our childhood life was like and how we looked at things from a way different perspective than grownups did. Gomez’s role was more of the really mature teenager, but she still went through teenage drama. She did a great job in interpreting the role of being a big sister. She was always annoyed by her little sister but always believed in her. This movie will bring a person back to their childhood no matter how old they are. They make a person think about doing bad things, but for a good reasons. Robert Eggert says “We no longer all watch the same TV shows, we are no longer as innocent, and the world of Klickitat is fading into timeless nostalgia.” What he means by this is that we all sometimes wish we could go back in life to re-live things, but you just have to live your life and not regret anything. I agree with this statement and I follow-up with what he says. Being a teenager a lot of people might be giving advice on life but it’s all about taking your own decisions. This movie is worth time and money because it brings a heartwarming feeling that shows you how a relationship between siblings is the strongest. They all fight and bicker, but in the end they are all there for each other.
