Today in the world of rap and hip hop there are not many successful women rappers. That brings me to one of the best and fastest-rising female rappers that has featured in many songs and also has a few albums herself. A few of the songs that are more popular that she has featured in are My Chick Bad, Bedrock, 2012, Lil Freak, and Bottoms Up. Some songs that she made by herself are Roman’s Revenge, Right Thru Me, and Go Hard. Nicki sings/raps mostly hip hop and she has lots of rapping parts in many of her songs. When I hear a song that Nicki Minaj is in I have to listen to her part and learn the words. When comparing Nicki to a girl singer that doesn’t rap like Taylor Swift they are completely different. These two singers have some similarities but they are mostly opposite. They both have a love of music, and they are both very good singers. But when it comes to their style of music it is way different. Taylor sings more about love, life, and teenage lifestyles. Nicki raps about life stories, guy problems, and stories that most people could somehow relate to. “I mean he was Adam, I think I was Eve. But my vision ends with the apple on the tree.” “When he call me mama, lil mama, I call him baby.” These are some of the main lyrics sang in Nicki’s song Your Love. They are saying that she was in love with someone and the guy she is singing about just left her hanging there confused and lonely. Then she goes to say that when they were in love they would call each other cute special names. Critic’s think and say that Minaj is bisexual, crazy, and unusual. Well in some cases they are wrong but in others that is the whole truth. Other critics would say that Minaj is a fun, loving, and very outgoing. I think that Nicki Minaj deserves a lot of respect because she is one of the most famous female rappers.
