Probably the most talked about movie besides Harry Potter is Twilight. From the moment that it was going to be made from a book into a movie, Twilight has been the talk of the town. It still comes out with the sequels year or so. What started out as a young adult book has turned in a multi-million dollar industry, from the “Team Edward” and “Team Jacob” t-shirts, to the fake fangs that can be molded to your teeth. This book movie combo has made a name for its self and will always be known for one thing or another. The genre for this movie can be romance, action, and drama. It all depends on what part of the movie you watching. The plot of the movie is as old as time. Boy meets girl, they fall in love and live happy ever after . . . not. It’s true that boy does meet girl but the boy isn’t entirely human and they don’t live happy ever after. The boy is Edward Cullen and he is a vampire. The girl is Bella Swan. They fall madly in love fast but hit some road bumps early on. The main road bump is that Edward feels that they can’t be together because he has no soul and he doesn’t want to take Bella’s from her. So in the beginning of the movie he avoids her like the plague. But in the end their love is to strong and they are at last drawn together. Then as they are just starting out a pot hole comes out of nowhere and stops their happy ever after. His name is James and he wants Bella. More precisely he wants her blood and will stop at nothing to get it. From there the action takes place and their love is tested. The actress playing Bella Swan, Kristine Steward, is really kind of awkward in her whole role as Bella. All of the romance scenes there tend to be an awkward pause just before they kiss and touch in anyway. I mean I know that they are suppose to be nervous and a sense of unknown to their movements but there is an awkwardness that comes from Kristine Steward herself and not the character Bella that just doesn’t come off right to me. I think the cast directors could have picked a better actress to portray Bella, some who just wasn’t so . . . awkward.
