“They call me Big Meech, Larry Hoover”… Rick Ross has made a big impact on rap music this year. Connecting to Abdi’s response, I do believe Rick portrays his rap music to be considered real thuggish music. In his songs he has loud base, a big boss like confidence, and ignorance that makes him feel like he’s always on top. Everything “BIG” Ross has to offer because he’s a very big man with big dreams. In correlation to Abdi’s belief he found similarity in Rick Ross to Taylor Swift? In my opinion, these two artists couldn’t have been too much similar in any circumstance dealing with their music tones, genre, confidence, esteem, or anything. Rick Ross hasn’t yet reached that point where he is real competition in the rap game but Taylor can definitely take that award in country music. Ross hasn’t won any awards nor did he attempt to receive enough media attention to get it. I believe he has what it takes to really be the big boss he portrays, it will just take a little more time. Connecting to the critics, Abdi explained how Ross’s new album Teflon Don was one of his best albums yet. I can agree on their reasoning because this album really brought out his true experiences on how he survived his street life. Also making that comparison on how he uses his hustling skills, Ross now makes million dollar records from his past struggles. Abdi concludes that Rick’s music is not only hardcore but inspiring as well. Even though you grew up on the streets not knowing what tomorrow holds, you can still make a bigger and better future like Ross. Basically he had a rise and grind beginning. Now He’s doing what he loves as his talent comes natural. Ross has great talent, with confidence in his entertaining skills that you may find his music overall enjoyable.
