I am really looking forward to see how Nicki Minaj progresses as an artist. I think she has the potential of becoming the world’s best female artist. Even though many compare her with Lil Kim, I think she is much more diverse. Lil Kim had this hardcore and sexy attitude, but Nicki Minaj has this flirty, fun side to her including hardcore and sexy. I personally like Nicki Minaj better than Lil Kim, just the fact that she knows how to switch up her style. Nicki Minaj’s new song “Right Through Me” is very good. It shows a softer side of her and it’s nice to see her trying new things. One thing I like about Nicki Minaj is her confidence. She has this positive energy that you can feed off of. She is inspirational among females around the world. Even though the Hip- Hop Industry is a male oriented field Nicki Minaj still stays optimistic. Alicia has noted that Nicki Minaj hasn’t dropped an album yet, but her name is hot in the industry. That shows us that even without an album she manages to wow us. I also noticed how many of the songs she featured on has become a hit including Trey Songz “Bottoms Up”. The emotion she expresses in her music is so bold and strong. Even though sometimes she sings a bit fast, people still seem to understand and manage to sing along. My overall opinion of Nicki Minaj is that she very strong and fierce. Upcoming female artist now need to step up their game. She has set a whole new bar for them. In the future I believe Nicki will be considered one of the greats. Nicki’s debut album Pink Friday will be coming out soon and I am looking forward to buy it. I think it’s worth my money and recommend others to buy also.
