One of the artist I enjoy rocking to is Pink. Her style of music is pop and rock.
I agree with Sara that Pink is a powerful young artist. She is not afraid to speak her mind and it shows in her music. Her song “Raise your glass” is an inspiring song to young teens. It does talk about swallowing your pride. Also admitting your mistakes and moving forward to a better day. One of her songs that really touched me is “Who Knew” it’s about losing someone that you really cared about to drugs. It is about loving someone so much that you see past their drug problem. Also you have to realize that what you look past may hurt you in the future. The song is about never knowing when an addict that you love will disappear at any moment. Trust is a powerful thing. If you put all your trust and faith on an addict you only end up hurting yourself. When the love of your life or your best friend passes so quickly and everyone else warned you, but you never listen to them. That is a hard reality to deal with and very difficult to get over. Trusting them to be there until the end and quitting drugs for good is also hard. This song is mainly about wishing to get a second chance to see them once again. At the end, the song motivates you to move on with your life no matter how much it hurts. You will see them again one day. This song is very emotional and it touches the viewer’s heart. Pink writes about personal experience which brings me to another song called “So What”. This about her ex- song is very humorous and fun to watch. I loved watching every minute of it. It is husband and the divorces she went through. It is mainly about having a positive attitude and telling your ex-husband or boyfriend you are better off with out them. I love Pink and Sara I would join you in the front row if she ever came to Rochester, MN.
