Jason Aldean is the newest hit sensation to country music. He has been around for awhile with two hit songs “Johnny Cash” and “Hick Town” a few years ago, but he wasn’t well known until now. “Big Green Tractor” is what got this musician started. Singing about tractors and women is what this popular hit was about. His recent song “My Kinda Party” was played on the radio of summer 2010 and country fans were ecstatic about his new song. This song was about being wild and crazy in the small towns and about drinking beer out on the old paved country roads. This hit is what sparked the fans in country music. Jason Aldean started becoming popular throughout the country in the eyes of teenagers and young adults. His brand new hit with special guest Kelly Clarkson has also became a huge sensation. “Don’t You Wanna Stay” was a special duet that intrigued young people who have had heartbreaks. These songs are all memorable songs because people of all ages can relate to them. His songs are lively and energetic and easy to dance too compared to other country artists like Reba McEntire whose songs you can’t relate too or sing along with. He still isn’t as up to par as say, Keith Urban or Kenny Chesney but he definitely has high potential. I agree with the New York Times article stating that Jason Aldean’s best moments are his softest ones. Meaning that some of his best songs are his softer ones. I also agree with the pojo.com article that says “My Kinda Party” is a rock inspired song with country twang in it. I think Jason Aldean is one of the best country singers out there. When I hear him on the radio I definitely stop and listen.
