I disagree with King’s first post, because Lil Wayne does nothing but produce metaphors. Anybody can produce a strong metaphor if you have a computer. It is impressive that he has been a signed rapper since the age of 12. He has made albums that were good, like the Carter I and the Carter II but ever since then he has changed his style up and decided that he wants to try to rap on rock beats. The song “Right Above it” is the only song in my opinion that has been any good by him in the past 3 years. Lil Wayne will always be a strong rapper with metaphors and stuff but he will never be as lyrically strong as some of the greats like: Eminem, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg. Another thing about Lil Wayne is that his voice is very recognizable; pretty much anybody that listens to him knows a song is by him even if they have never heard it before. I think what happened to Lil Wayne is that he got too cocky and started thinking he was better than everyone and thought he could do anything. So he tried making rap songs to rock music. I say leave that to groups like Dead Celebrity Status, or Hollywood Undead. Overall, I think that Lil Wayne used to be a good rapper and he sort of fell off about 3 years ago.
