Guest Blogger: Bory 1

The first artist I evaluated was Katy Perry. The type of music she produces is made of pop, rock, and electro pop. The main focus of her right now is her song “ET.” Personally I think it is a very catchy song expressing her attraction to someone and how this person is from another planet. The emotions evoked are mystery, passion, and admiration. I think this song is in its own unique and different category of electro pop and has a very catchy tune I can personally listen to for hours. It is even number 2 on the hot 100 list and is moving up more and more as the days go by. I wouldn’t be surprised if it will reach number 1 anytime this week. She also is recognized for her songs “Firework, I Kissed a Girl, Hot n’ Cold and Teenage Dream.” These were all up in the high ranked categories on music lists and her reputation has been increasing and she also has been getting recognized more in countries as well. The critics opinion on her newest released song “ET” is that it is really moving and has an outer space theme, hence the title. I agree with their opinions because I personally made a dance to this song and I’ve gotten good feedback that it was a very good song to dance to because of its catchy melody and also my dance moves. In my overall opinion, it is a great song to listen to and it definitely worth buying in her newest album. I am sure this is not the last from her great works. I predict she will come out with much more popular songs and shift rock/pop to a higher, newer level. Personally she is one of my favorite artists and it shows that she is well respected in the music industry as well.
