Carrie Underwood has been my favorite singer ever since the first time I saw her tryout for American Idol. She inspires me so much because she started out with not a lot and now she is an inspiration to many people today. Her lyrics are so deep and I can tell that she expresses herself through her music. She seems like such a kind hearted person because she doesn’t take any of what she has for granted. She works hard every day and pushes to achieve more and more. She never gave up once and she made it so far. She started out so small and she became one of the most famous country singers and has been number one on the charts many times. So that brings me to my two favorite songs of hers. The first one is “So Small” because it just explains how everyone makes things seem so big and like it’s a huge deal but really you need to take a step back and look at how it’s only something really small. My favorite part in that song would be “Because sometimes that mountain you've been climbing, Is just a grain of sand, And what you've been out there searching for forever, Is in your hands, And when you figure out Love is all that matters after all, It sure makes everything else seem so small.” My other favorite is “Temporary Home” this song explains so many things but the main thing for me is that we all have temporary homes. Every home that we live in is just temporary because we have the house that we grew up in and then we have our own house when we go to college and then we get married and have our house with our family and then you pass away and go to heaven. We have many different homes that we live in so they are all just temporary except when we get to heaven because we will all see each other again someday. My Favorite part in this song is “Old man, hospital bed, The room is filled with people he loves, And he whispers, "Don't cry for me, I'll see you all someday", He looks up and says, "I can see God's face", This is my temporary home, it's not where I belong, Windows and rooms that I'm passing through, This was just a stop on the way to where I'm going, I'm not afraid because I know, This was my temporary home.”
