Pop music is more popular than ever these days. An artist that influences people to listen to pop music is Ke$ha. At 23 years old she just put her second album in stores. Her new album “Cannibal” has a few songs that bring up her past lovers, and also has a few songs that show she is on the prow and is careless about what people think. That is what she tries to teach with this album. Don’t worry about others thoughts and opinions of you. Ke$ha’s music is very fun to listen to. It has a great beat and almost makes you want to dance. Another artist that is the same way is Katy Perry. Their music is very similar. They both sing about how to not worry about others thoughts. Along with that they both have the same idea on beats and tempos. They both have a face up beat tempo that gets everyone to dance. Ke$ha’s new song “We R Who We R” is about not changing yourself and like the title be who you are. There is a very memorable line from that hit song and I think everyone should think about it. “You know we’re superstars We are who we are!” this line means to me that you’re a super star in some way no matter what people say. You always are a superstar or cool to someone, whether it’s an admirer, friends, or family. One critique, Chad Grischow had a some pretty harsh words about her new album “Cannibal.” He said that the vocal were chopped to bits. Also he talked about how there was so much auto tune that it might as well be sung by a robot. I think THIS Chad guy is wrong. I think her voice auto tuned or not sounds really good. I also don’t hear any chopped vocals so I don’t know what Chad is talking about. I think Ke$ha is making her way straight to the top of the pop music charts. When she gets there it will take a lot of work for someone to take her off her thrown.
