Cascada is classified as techno and pop. Depending on the song you listen to she has several different feeling incorporated into her music. For example her music for the most part have an upbeat feeling to them. For example in “Bad Boy” it tells a story of her love leaving and how she doesn’t need him anymore because she’s strong enough to get past him. Her music seems to leave me in a good mood and ready to take on anything because the music’s so upbeat and generally happy and to me personally gives me a feeling that I can do anything no matter what the task is (realistic or fantasy in other words). Mostly her music is about love weather it was a good or bad experience, she always has a way to keep the song positive. Artist that are similar to Cascada are Smile Dk, DJ Sammy, Groove Coverage and Toy Box. They all belong to the techno and their songs are all pretty up beat and leave you with a good feeling. There about love and how it’s ok to be yourself. “Can’t stop the rain” is about her crying (my guess is a break up but I’m not fully sure) it’s one of her only sad songs that she’s written but it goes along with her themes of love. Another one of her songs “Evacuate the dance floor” is a fun song in general, its fun to dance to (often or was often played at school dances), fun to sing, ect. “Never ending dream is about her thinking/dreaming about the guy she loves and it show how much she loves him, wants to be with him, and in a way that she misses him (in a way). Personally I think it is well worth the money to spend on her music if you like upbeat techno music if not I wouldn’t really recommend her.
