Jason Aldean, a well-known Georgia country star, is on his fourth studio album, My Kinda Party. Jason has had several number one hits such as “Don’t You Wanna Stay,” a bittersweet ballad duet with Kelly Clarkson, and “Big Green Tractor,” which topped Billboard charts. He was known for his pumped-up arena-country vibe but has moved away from that to sweet, emotional goodbye songs such as “If She Could See Me Now.” When I listen to his music I feel like I can understand how he feels or see what he’s seeing like I am there in Georgia with him. Jason Aldean’s album compares to those of Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney where they get the right sound and it will carry them to the top. Aldean somewhat mirrors that of McGraw and Chesney in the fact that they get their big hits in their fast-paced pop country songs and still steal hearts with dramatic love songs. His lyrics bring out his southern style and twang such as, “I sit back and think about them good old days, the way we were raised in our Southern ways. We like cornbread and biscuits, and if it’s broke ‘round here we fix it.” The Georgia star stays close to home through his music. He likes to challenge himself with difficult melodies, but to him, they are the most fun to play and sing. Critics say Jason Aldean is an artist to look out for. He will surprise many with his big hit albums and it’s worth a listen. I agree with these reviews because I have never found a Jason Aldean song I didn’t like. He is fun to listen to and see in-concert. From personal experience, he gets the crowd excited and makes it a good time for all country fans alike.
