Guest Blogger: Bory 2

The second artist I evaluated was Britney Spears. It is really nice to see that Britney Spears is back on track with her career and is being recognized again. Ever since her career started she has been making huge hit songs such as “Hit me baby one more time,” “Oops, I did it again” and now more recent songs in 2008 like “Toxic” and “Radar.” All of these songs have had really good reviews and her respect has been rising ever since her little setback. The most popular song for the past weeks is now “Hold it against me,” even though it was released January 10th, 2011. This has to be one of my favorite songs by her yet and it has a really eerie, mysterious, but yet an upbeat style to it. Out of a 10 I would rate this song a 9 and I think many will agree since it has been a really popular release. The music video really brings to music to life even more because she is in a very futuristic setting and is in a very big white dress. It was very interesting to watch and I really enjoyed the artistic feel emphasized in the music video as well. This song is in her newest album called “Femme Fatale” along with other very catchy songs. I think overall she is a very original artist and should be respected more. The media always looks at flaws especially when it comes to celebrities and Britney Spears was just one target. The media has to realize we are all human and we all make mistakes. I hope that her career stays alive for a very long time because she is truly one the Queens of Pop idol music.
