Switchfoot really grabs the attention of rock seekers everywhere, add in a little personal touch and you have a band at which anyone can really relate to. There is a specific feeling when you’re listening to a Switchfoot song. It is something that everyone can actually relate to, ““We lock our souls in cages, We hide inside our shells, It's hard to free the ones you love, Oh, when you can't forgive yourself, Yeah, forgive yourself” –Mess Of Me, Switchfoot” These lyrics can mean something different to anyone, they use this song to question themselves, and question the listener, and challenge both to take a stand. One can say that they are the same just as any other alternative rock band, but I believe the lyrics for switchfoot’s songs mean something more than they do for other bands. “"Mess Of Me" is my favorite tune out of the entire bunch (album: Hello Hurricane). Foreman (lead singer) makes a decision to live a life fully alive rather than one simply sitting by the curb taking up space.” a reviewer wrote for blogcritics.org/music. And I completely agree. So would it be worth spending time and money to listen, and buy Switchfoot’s music? I believe the answer is yes, You will not regret listening to this band, they do not get old, and they lyrics stay alive.
