Rascal Flats and his band Gary Levox, Jay DeMarcus, Joe Don Rooney are second cousins and have been close ever since they were little. They all grew up mutually in Columbus, Ohio with their family and friends. Also, Rascal Flats and his second cousins have been into music ever since they were able to talk and have been singing since they were ten years old. In 1992 him and his cousins went to Nashville to start their career in the music business. They have always loved pop, gospel, bluegrass roots and country. They decided to be in the country music because country can tell stories that are happening in people’s lives. What I like about Rascal Flats music is that when you are listening to his music you can feel the emotions in what the songs are talking about. Another reason why I like Rascal Flats is because his music can relate to what I’m going through at times that are happy and sad. Rascal Flats is known for the music that is about his life and also about love and relationships with people. Zac Browns Band is different than Rascal Flats band because they are known for pop country, and more upbeat. They both are good country singers but I like Rascal Flats more because of how he can relate to people and their situations. Another difference between these bands is that Rascal Flats band has had a lot of experience ever since they were little and Zac Browns Band hasn’t have had as much experience. The next reason why Rascal Flats is my favorite artist is because he has a positive attitude with every situation and also a big heart for people. I think that having Rascal Flats as a singer helps fans out with every situation if it’s happy or sad. My favorite song is “Bless the broken road” because he talks about someone who is going through tough times but then is able to be strong.
