The movie Insidious was unappreciated as a horror film by many critics. Although have critiqued that movie goers were going get what they wanted. Insidious was a highly anticipated movie from the creators of Paranormal Activity and the Saw series. Story of the movie begins with a happy family that moves into a new house where they think the house is haunted. Little do they know it’s not the house that is haunted but the there is someone within the house that is haunted. The movie is starting Rose Byrne and Patrick Wilson as they play the parents in the movie. Critics have critiqued that the movie highly relies on sound effects. The plot of story is that when the family moves their son goes to sleep and never wakes. The entire family is worried and concerned about the child but little do they know that the son was dreaming and was controlled my demons and devils. The reason why the son has dreams about demons and devils in his sleep is because his father had originally been controlled that way. The father and the son act the same way but towards the end of the movie there is a smart twist as the father goes in his dreams to save his son from the demon world. The theme of the movie is be careful of the people your with they could be creepy and weird. I agree with the critics that the movie was a bit scary but it didn’t really scare me. I thought the movie could’ve been done better and more intriguing and intense. Although the movie did leave me with a surprising twist and a scary haunting feeling. Overall the movie Insidious was a okay scary movie but the movie could’ve been a bit scary but left me with a haunting outcome. I would recommend this movie to anybody who has not seen the movie yet and to anybody who loves horror films. I believe the movie can be seen by anybody since it was rated PG-13 but the young ones should have a parent with them. Overall a good movie.
