The movie Rocky Balboa, is the sixth movie in a series of movies that premiered back in the 80s and 90s. This movie caught me by surprise because it came out along time after the last movie was out. In the movie Rocky, the main character who is in his 60s wants to get back to boxing competitively despite the doctors telling him that it’s not a good idea. He begins the train and eventually gets a friendly fight with the reigning heavyweight champ just for fun. It turns out that it will be taken place in Las Vegas in front of millions of people. Sylvester Stallone plays Rocky in the film and is the main character. He does a great job as usual by making us feel his pain and suffering while he is going though hardships at home, while training, and throughout the actual fight. One of the reasons Rocky wants to get back in the ring is because he misses it and wants to see if he can still fight like he used to. He is very loving and caring and wants to have a relationship with his son who is a hard working kid trying to make it in a big company. He is motivated by the death of his wife and originally just wants to fight locally in front of his friends. I think that the theme of the movie is to never give up no matter what. The people watching this should take away that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. I agree with the critics in saying that it is a great movie and tops off the series of movies. Overall, I really like the movie and really think that it sticks true to the other movies he has made and I would spend my money to watch it.
