You’re glued to your seat, not blinking for minutes at a time; this is how The Town goes. Bank robberies are a way of life for this small group of guys trying to make a living. A different style of robbery every time includes a new costume and even different roles after a number of hold ups and jobs done well, one does not go so hot and the guys are now on the hide of their life, when not getting along, things get hairy and are never the same…. Ben Affleck is the main star and even directs his own movie. But also starring is Rebecca Hall and Jon Hamm with very big roles! Ben plays a star as a washed up hockey player and finally turns to a business his dad once ran when he was younger, robbing armored trucks and banks. Ben is a very intimidating person and is always on the edge. Very sensitive to one word might make him blow and kick the crap out of someone. But he also has a side for women as very nice treats you very well and makes you his little princess in a sense. The theme of this movie is to never trust your friends and live with yourself and what you know or think is right! In the end of this movie you will find out why:) but can’t give it out! To trust your gut is what you’re supposed to do even if it is breaking up relationships and getting a new leaf to turn in your life. I agree with most critics and that it is a movie where you are watching more than just stars acting, you see sides that are not shown (conversations of everyday life), it’s in effective thriller as one writer writes and I totally agree. I agree because I could watch this movie a thousand times and you pick something else up or it gets just that much better every time! If I were to write a true review, it would be a perfect 10 out of 10 stars!
