Shark Tail is a movie about one little fish named Oscar that works at the car wash and lives in the slums of his town in the ocean. All he wants in his life is to become someone so that all the other fish in the ocean look up to him. As the movie goes on, he finds a dead shark and made it seem to be that he “slayed” the shark to everyone else. So then, everyone in the ocean looks up to him and he gets big and famous. Will Smith and Robert De Niro are the two most important actors in the movie and they do a great job with their roles. Will Smith won the award “favorite voice from an animated movie” in the 2005 Kids Choice Awards. Oscar is the main character in the movie (Will Smith) and all he wants is to be famous. He doesn’t realize the things around him that he already has are important too, like the girl that he grew up with, Angie (Renee Zellweger), and how she has been in love with him forever. Oscar is too focused on trying to become famous that he doesn’t even notice her. The theme of the movie is that you should never try to be something/ someone that you’re not. The point of the movie is to show that theme and how to learn to live by it too, they wanted people to take that lesson home and make sure that it teaches kids how to behave. I didn’t really find very many reviews on the movie Shark Tail itself, but all of the reviews that I did find seemed like they liked the movie and they liked the themes and lessons that came out of it. I agree with these critics because I loved the movie and I still watch it all the time, it’s a lot of fun and the whole family can enjoy it. Overall, I think that people should pay for the movie, it’s well worth it.
