Mean Girls is one of my all time favorite movies. It is a story about three girls that go to a high school and are what you would call “mean girls”, to your face they might act nice, but they are saying horrible things about you behind your back. The mean girls in this movie are: Regina George, Gretchen Wieners, and Karen Smith. They are your typical skinny tall pretty girls that think they own the school. Then you have Cady Heron who was home schooled her whole life, but then decided to go to public high school as a freshman. Cady was your typical new girl just trying to find a clique to fit into are anyone that would talk to her, her first day of school she met Janis Ian, and Damian who were what you would consider loners. They were nice to Cady and gave her the scoop on everyone at the school including “the mean girls”. Just as you think Cady was friends with Janis and Damian she turned her back on them and started to become friends with “the mean girls”. Throughout the movie Cady gets confused and doesn’t know who to trust are who to be friends with. The main actresses and actors are: Lindsay Lohan as Cady Heron, Rachel McAdams as Regina George, Lacey Chabert as Gretchen Wieners, Amanda Seyfried as Karen Smith, Lizzy Caplah as Janis Ian, and Daniel Franzese as Damian. I personally think all of the characters in the movie did a great job acting because as I was watching it I really believed them that it was real life and “the mean girls” were truly mean people. They made you believe them. “The mean girls” just wanted to be the best and have everyone else follow them and do as they say. Cady just wanted to be recognized and have people like her. Janis and Damian were fine just being loners and have their own fun. People hopefully take away that being popular is not always a good thing, and you should just be yourself. I agree with Hollywood reporter Kirk Honeycutt he said quote, “From wide- eyed innocent to queen of mean, Lindsay Lohan’s comic journey makes an above average teen comedy”. It is defiantly worth your time to go and watch this movie it is a great chick flick to watch with a group of girls, it will have you laughing all night long!
