Cinderella Blog #2
Cinderella is a popular Disney movie that was made in 1950 for many children. The story is about a girl named Cinderella that lives happily with her mother and father until her mother dies. Then her father remarries a cruel woman with two ugly daughters and they treat Cinderella horribly. They make her do all the dirty work around the house and she has to wear tattered rags because they are jealous of her beauty. Meanwhile, the Prince in the kingdom must find a bride so they put on a royal ball where anyone is invited. Cinderella wants to go to the ball more then anything but her mother refuses to let her leave the house. As her step mother and sisters leave, Cinderella quietly cries to herself until her fairy god mother comes along and makes all of her dreams come true. When Cinderella gets to the ball people stop and stare at her beauty and the Prince falls for her instantly. The clock is about to strike midnight and Cinderella has to go before everything goes back to normal. She is running out of the castle and she leaves her glass slipper behind and the Prince is determined to find the girl who wore the slipper. In this movie, Cinderella is determined to go to the ball and she kept hoping, therefore her dreams came true. If you are cruel to people then the things you want won’t happen but if you have a sweet nature like Cinderella, more then likely your dreams will come true. The main theme in the movie is to be a kind person and to keep your hopes up. Critics like the movie because it shows that Walt Disney knows how to make the best fairytales. It is great for children and sells well because of how good the stories are written. I agree with the critics because to this day Cinderella is a popular movie, along with all the other Disney movies, and it is worth our time and money to watch these movies. I think these movies bring out the “little kid” in all of us.
