The comedy movie is about the life of Ron Burgundy how is the anchorman for an award winning news station in San Diego, California during the 1970’s. People tune in every night to watch the news form Ron Burgundy and his crew. The rest of the crew consists of weather man Brick Tamland, sports analysis Champ Kind, and field reporter Brian Fantana. Ron Burgundy is the symbol of San Diego and is constantly going to parties and being loved by everyone in San Diego. One day after a night of partying and celebrating an award for the best news station the news crew gets bad news that the network is going to bring in a woman co-anchor to Ron Burgundy. This upsets the crew because there are no other co-anchors in the country at this time and this would bring embarrassment to them. But after they see the new woman anchor Veronica Corningstone and realize that she is attractive they all start the “games” to see who can go out with her and they all fail except for Ron Burgundy. They soon break up though and constantly take shots and each other on air and try and get each other fired. The actors and actresses in this movie are Will Ferrell who plays Ron Burgundy, Christiania Applegate who plays Veronica Corningstone, Paul Rudd who plays Brian Fantana, Steve Carell who plays Brick Tamland, and David Koechner who plays Champ Kind. I would say all the actors’ play there parts very well and are all very funny. I think the theme in this movie is that women can do things in the world just as good if not better than men. I would agree with most critics who say this movie is very funny and fun to watch. Overall I would say that this movie is one of the funniest movies that I have seen. If you like will Ferrell movie or just comedies in general this movie is definitely worth the time and money.
