Salt is one of my favorite movies. It is a female driven spy movie. A highly respected CIA Agent, her name is Evelyn Salt. It all started when a Russian Spy came to visit her office with her boss, Ted. The Russian Spy offers information about Day X which is an operations run by Russian Spymaster since the Cold War. He talks about destruction against the United States and how it will all start with an assassination of the President of Russia. He says there will be an attack when the President visits New York City to attend the funeral of a well known U.S Vice President. He also reveals shocking information that the name of the assassin is Evelyn Salt. Salt was automatically accused of being a Russian Spy by her boss, Ted Winter, and her co-workers. Ted did not believe that she is a mole or a double agent and he tries to help her, but Salt’s actions and concerns about her husband’s safety has heated things up with Ted. Then she runs away from the CIA. The questions begin to rise as to who is Evelyn Salt? And what is she planning?
Angelina Jolie played Evelyn Salt. I think she rocked as a super spy. As an actresses most of Angelina Jolie’s roles in movies deals with traveling, agents, mass destructions, detective and mysteries.
Ted winter’s motivation was to capture Salt at any cost, dead or alive.
The theme of the movie is about deciding how far you will go to following what you’re told to do instead of thinking for yourself first.
I agree and don’t agree with Tonymarie, Staten Island, NY at http://movies.nytimes.com. They said the film was not boring at all, which I agree with one hundred percent it does manage to keep us thoroughly entertained. But then they said the movie was silly like it was a joke to them. I took it very serious. America has the same problem with instead of Russian Spies maybe attacks on terrorism. So this movie reminded me of all the media in the past about terrorism. Which brings to why I think it is worth our time and money. It’s a promise that you will be entertained because the beautiful Angelina Jolie rocked her part of the performance like she always does.
