The movie Forest Gump was released in 1994 is a character driven movie based on the main character whose name is Forest Gump. The whole movie is about his whole life and how he did so many different things. Examples of things he did are run around the world, win the medal of honor, become a national ping pong champion, fall in love, lose his mother, and be the captain of a shrimp catching boat. Tom Hanks played the actor Forest Gump, he won multiple awards for this movie, including best male actor and best male performance. Not only was he a recognized actor, but his love in the movie also got noticed for being a great actress. Robin Wright got nominated for best supporting actress for the movie, she didn’t win the award but she was very grateful that she was even nominated. In the film Forest Gump, Forest is well known around the town and everybody seems to like him. He was very down to earth, nice, grateful, loved his mother, and very misunderstood. When he was young he had a metal brace on his leg and kids picked on him all the time for it. The theme for this movie I think is quite obvious. Anybody can do anything, as long as you set your mind to it and work your hardest at it. I agree with most critics, because every critic that I have seen has said that it’s an awesome movie and this is definitely a movie that people should watch. The lesson of the movie makes people want to make themselves better. My overall opinion of this movie is even thought it’s an old movie, I would definitely recommend that people go out and rent it or even buy it. Forest Gump is one of my favorite movies that I’ve ever seen.
