Due Date is a great character driven movie directed by Todd Phillips. Due Date is a comedy and is about Peters painstaking trip to get to his wife before his baby is delivered. Peter the father of the baby and the main character is at the airport when Ethan Tremblay runs into his car door breaking it off. Later as they board the plane he finds out that Ethan coincidentally sits behind him in first class. As the plane is about to leave they tell everyone to turn any electrical devises of but peter was texting his pregnant wife telling her that he was leaving. Ethan makes a big scene and uses two words that should not be used on a plane, bomb and terrorist. By using these words he ends up getting Peter shot with a rubber bullet and they both are put on the no fly list. Peter has lost his wallet full of things he needed and now is screwed, he cannot rent a car because he has no money or ID. He was worried that he wouldn’t get home until Ethan shows up with a car he had rented. Peter decides the only way he is going to go home is with a man he hardly knows and already hates. They take a long road trip trying to get back to his wife and end up having many problems do to Ethan. This Movie is full of excitement and always full of laughs. Ethan is definitely not the brightest but he loves to joke around. Hes’ trying to get to Hollywood cause he supposedly has a gig. He thinks he is smart but just seems to not be all there. Peter is a serious character and I understand why he would be in this situation. He is very stubborn though as you can see in the part where the air marshal is asking him to drop the phone so that there’d be no problems he still thinks he’s right. A theme for this movie would be not to judge someone by there first impression. Some critics rate this movie high and others rate it low I believe that this mvoie should be a 9 out of 10 ive watched it multiple times and it never gets old it a good movie if you’ve had a bad day and just ned a laugh. I think that this movie is worth anyones money because it is full of suspense and excitement.
