Rascal Flatts is one of many great country bands. In the past, they have been known for slower songs like, “What Hurts the Most.” Majority of “sad” songs talk about their girlfriend/boyfriend leaving them, but in this song, the “sad” factor comes from being open and close to someone. The lyrics itself is different from other typical slow songs. In the song, there are parts when the melody and vocals are soft and quiet and then they emphasize on the chorus. Recently they been playing upbeat songs like, "Fast Cars and Freedom," "Banjo," and "Summer Nights." In the article, “Rascal Flatts Celebrate 7 Million Concert Tickets Sold” by Chuck Dauphin, the band had a tour in Nashville and sold over 13,000 tickets. They celebrated on stage when the Live Nation Country Touring president presented an enormous ticket stating they’ve sold over 7 million. They deserve having this reward celebrated and for others to see how great of a group they have become. He also states that the band has only been getting better vocally and socially. I agree with this because before just this year, it was just a typical band that produced one song everyone loved and then disappeared. This time I believe they will be sticking around longer and will attract more listeners. Another band people would enjoy if they like Rascal Flatts is Eli Young Band. The band has more than one lead singer. Vocalists in each band collaborate with each other to form great harmonic tunes. I think it is worth the money for Rascal Flatts because listeners can always enjoy their music no matter what mood they are in. If someone is not in such a great mood, there is a song to help sympathize with. There are upbeat songs that help brighten up a mood or to just relax.
