The band, Green Day had one of the most known songs among teenagers today. This song happens to be, “American Idiot”. This song, without a doubt is what brought Green Day on top. I’m sure that the guitar player for the band put in hours upon hours of time into preparing for this song specifically. It’s rhythms and solo parts are just flawless. I can listen to this song for days at a time and still not become bored of it. This hip/hop, rock new music is exactly what today’s teens are into. The emotion that this song presented was based on the state that the United States was in at the time it was written. I’ll remember this song as well as “21 guns” because they reminded me of how were still at war as a nation and want to bring our soldiers home safe and alive. They embrace the roots with respectful modesty and dignity with one of their album “I can’t believe it”. Green Day composes directly into concert albums. I agree with critic Brie “I have listened to every song on the album and all of them stand on their own. All are different from one another and all are good in their own right. It is fun and different. It is nice to hear something worth listening to” she hits my thoughts and opinions about green day right on the money. I totally agree that you can listen to all of their songs and never get bored of hearing them over and over again, especially when you listen deeply to the lyrics of the song and relate them to your personal or real life happenings. This band is well worth the time and money because their music provides a great source of entertainment for people of all ages, (as long as they’ll actually listen to it).
