The movie The Dark Knight Rises is the last of a trilogy. Staring in this movie is Christen Bale as Bruce Wayne, also known as Batman. In the previous movies in the trilogy batman was blamed for many crimes, even though he was trying to stop crime, he caused more damage than help. In the plot Bruce is trying to go one step beyond the police and stop the man called Bane. In his fight with Bane, Bruce has to overcome many obstacles that will make your heart race and make you feel like you are in the movie (personal experience). His largest obstacle is to escape from a prison that only one child has ever escaped. The actors in the film I feel did an amazing job in each role. Bane played by Tom Hardy, did an exceptional job at being the evil villain everyone wants, putting up very hard fights and makes the hero overcome obstacles bigger than himself and the city has ever faced before. Michael Caine did an outstanding job at being Bruce Wayne’s buttler, but also being Batman’s man to go to for advice. Even though he turns away from Bruce’s ideas he feels the sorrow, pain and joy that Bruce feels in the movie. Marion Cotillard did an outstanding role playing as Bruce’s head lady of the Wayne foundation. She does an excellent job of hiding her ultimate secret, which puts a interesting twist into the plot and all of Bruce’s plans. The theme of the movie is that when bad things happen to one person or to society as a whole, the world may give up on you, but you should never give up on yourself. Bruce had let himself go to waste after getting blamed for deaths of civilians and a man that is very important to the town. He found the courage to come back and do what is right for him and his city. Many critics rate this movie five stars! I would have to fully agree with them! The movie as a whole is outstanding, as well as each individual scene. Many critics said that they feel humbled by the movie, stating that “I was more affected psychologically. Curious about humanity and all the different sides of it you see in this movie. It goes to many extremes. I felt humbled by my complete lack of life experience. What do I know about anything? How could I possibly understand half of the characters?” Christopher Reid. What he means is that he could not comprehend what he would do in that situation, and that he is afraid that the society of today is fully capable of things in this movie. All in all, The Dark Knight Rises is a MUST SEE movie! If you get the chance to view this movie it is defiantly worth the time and money to see.
